My Experience with ModelCo Cosmopolitan Blush Cheek Powder:

Let us start with the packaging. Well, there is actually nothing much to talk about it. :/ Anyway, the product comes in a round plastic pan packing. The lid is transparent with the word “blush” written on it. The lid closes with a click but the plastic is so flimsy that I doubt if it can sustain travelling. I have never travelled with it though. Plus, it doesn’t have any mirror or brush for touch ups on the go and hence not really travel friendly. The shade name and number are mentioned at the back of the pan.

The color is a pretty pink. It is very muted and not at all loud or over the top. The pigmentation is not so good again. It is very very sheer and at least a couple of swipes are needed to build some color on my medium dark skin. I would show up just a little bit easily on girls with lighter skin tones.

The blush is not at all smooth and is very chalky. I know it is a powder blush, but it really doesn’t feel like a pressed powder. There is so much fallout that it feels that they just tried to pack loose powder in the pan. I just need to touch the brush and there is so much powder around. Grrr!!! I am not even able to swipe the brush properly as just touching the brush leads to fallout. I have tried using my Sephora Collection Classic Multitasker Blush Brush, ELF Powder Brush, Real Techniques Sculpting Brush and even my Sephora Collection Classic Mineral Powder Brush. Phew!!! No matter how dense or sparse the brush is, there always is a huge fallout. 🙁 And it looks as if I haven’t cleaned the pack since long. 🙁

The cons doesn’t end here. Staying power is also in the list. The staying power is very poor too. It stayed just for around 2 -3 hours. The intensity started reducing after 1.5 hours. And I have very dry skin, so it would be even less on oily skinned girls. Using a primer beneath helped just a little. Though it does blend nicely on cheeks, but it emphasizes my pores. 🙁 Now, who wants that!!!! The application, however, is even and not patchy.

Pink cheek blush

Overall, this product has nothing to talk or write about. The color is pretty, but then it is not the most unique shade in the town. One can get many dupes for the same in drugstore brands and for much less price and yes, better in performance too.

Pros of ModelCo Cosmopolitan Blush Cheek Powder:

  • Pretty pink shade.
  • Even application.
  • Very sheer, good for beginners.

Cons of ModelCo Cosmopolitan Blush Cheek Powder:

  • Flimsy packaging.
  • No mirror or brush attached.
  • Chalky texture.
  • Too much of fallout.
  • Bad staying power.
  • Emphasizes my pores.
  • Very sheer, multiple swipes are needed for the color to show up..

IMBB Rating:

1/5 (I don’t know why I am giving even 1!!!) :/

Would I Repurchase/Recommend ModelCo Cosmopolitan Blush Cheek Powder?

No way. With this price, I can buy a MAC blush which would be way better in terms of quality. This blush is priced at departmental store brand price but the performance is way below the drugstore ones.  This is not recommended at all. Save your money ladies and spend on a product that is worthy.

  1. Oh no! The shade is pretty and there is nothing else about it. Seems very powdery. Would not go for a blusher that accentuates pores.
