Here is a review of a product I bought on an impulse and was glad enough to find good reviews online; however, my happiness was short lived since the lip shade is meant for only fair to pale skin tones and does not work as well for brown or darker skin tones. With experience and a lot of money down the drain, I have realized that I should not buy any products based on the claim it makes because not every products is suitable for everyone.

My Take on ModelCo Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner:
I personally like Lakme 9 to 5 lip liners and Rimmel liners but to add other brands in my vanity I tried out this lip liner by ModelCo, which by its description appeared to be a versatile product that can be paired with all sorts of lip colors.
Packaging: It’s a skinny, sharpen-able pencil with a cap on top. The cap also has a sharpener which was very fragile and broke after couple of usages.
Texture: Lip liners should be creamy and easy to work with and this product fulfill these norms. It’s easy to work with, glides easily and gives good coverage. Since the tip is so soft, it is prone to breakage and hence has to be dealt with care.
Color: Apart from broken cap, another qualm I have is the shade – it is too pale for my skin tone and makes me appear washed out. It can surely work for fair skin tone beauties but is certainly not meant for my skin tone. It doesn’t have shimmer or shine; it gives a matt finish.
Pigmentation: It has awesome pigmentation and I say this because it covers flaws of my pigmented lips with ease. It defines my lips with ease and acts as a smooth canvas to apply bright lip shades and if lip stick goes astray, it helps to fix it. But again it cannot be worn as is and has to be paired with a darker lip color to make it wearable for my skin tone.
Wear time: Once applied, it does stay put and also prolongs wear time of lipstick. However, after meals one might need to do a little touch up but otherwise it makes even a regular lipstick stay for an entire day.
Pros of ModelCo Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner:
• Skinny pencil with a sharpener in the cap.
• Very mild fragrance which vanishes soon enough.
• Pale pink color and will look pretty on fair skin tones.
• Super pigmented.
• Buttery soft and glides easily.
• Increases wear time of lipstick.
Cons of ModelCo Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner:
• Too expensive.
• Cap is fragile and sharpener broke after few usages.
• Available in only one shade.
• Sharpening leads to wastage of product.
• Shade is not meant for my skin tone.

Would I Repurchase ModelCo Lip Enhancer Illusion Lip Liner?
First it is not cheap and second the shade is not for my skin tone; hence I see no incentive in buying this product and it just depends on an individual’s personal choice. I do not recommend it to readers because there are better options available at more affordable prices.
