I love to try new beauty tools. My last attempt was Remington C19522 Pearl Pro Styler and I absolutely loved it. So, this time I thought of trying something different! I love eyelash curlers and how they can instantly make me look fresher and more awake! And of course, who does not like to have flirtatious, curled eyelashes. 🙂 So, I got myself this one, and I had high expectations with it. But, does it work better than your average, steel curler, let’s find out!

How to Use:
STEP 1. Insert AA battery. Remove cap, turn switch to ‘on’ and wait approximately 60 seconds.
STEP 2. Use TURBO LASHWAND at the root of eyelash. Gently fold lashes back against eyelid and hold for approximately 20-30 seconds to obtain optimum curl.
STEP 3. To maintain optimum battery life, switch ‘off’ immediately after use. Use inbuilt comb to comb through and separate lashes if necessary. Clean TURBO LASHWAND with brush provided.
STEP 4. Apply LASHXTEND Mascara or FIBRE LASH Brush on False Lashes immediately after use.

My Experience with ModelCo Turbo Lashwand Heated Eyelash Curler:
I had never tried a heated eyelash curler before this one. So, naturally, I was expecting a lot from it. It comes packaged inside a thick, plastic packaging. In its beautiful hot pink color, this curler looks beautiful and fascinating. My brother has still not been able to make out what this peculiar looking product is! *evil laugh* There is a small cleaning brush that comes with it and that’s kind of thoughtful.
When there is a battery inserted in it, you can feel some weight, but without it, it is light and fragile at times. It is made of very thin plastic and has a switch (I hope that’s what it is called! :P) to turn it on and off. It works fine, but again is almost fragile. I was expecting this product to be sturdy. But, it comes with a cap which protects the coil.
As you can see in the pictures, on one side, the coils are visible which heat up to curl and lift your lashes and on the other, there is a slot to place your lashes to curl. On switching it on, a tiny light gets turned on that denotes that the curler has started heating. We need to wait around 60 seconds for the curler to heat up. After that, you need to place your lashes and push it upwards to curl. But, this needs to be done immediately after applying a layer of mascara. The company asks to hold it for 20-30 seconds, but that time is not sufficient at all to curl the lashes. 🙁
It might work great on fine lashes, but on medium to thick eyelashes, it takes quite some time, even a minute to curl the lashes and that makes it highly time consuming. Anyway, thankfully, it curls the lashes very well. The curl on the lashes remain intact for hours! Believe me. But, the sad part is that curling the lashes is a long process. With my traditional curler, I can curl my lashes within seconds and it too would reap the same effects. I am not completely dissatisfied with it, but I am not exhilarated either.
But, I must say that it is a good tool for people who get scared of traditional steel curlers and feel that those curlers might pull of their eyelashes out. They can use it very easily and it will definitely give them results. But, I am not scared of such curlers, so this factor might not work for me.
To conclude, I would say that it is a nice thing to try out new products and check their efficacy. It is a good curler, curls well, curl stays intact. But I would not like to pay 1681 rupees to get mediocre results. I would have loved it had it been quicker with its performance, but it is slower than manual curling which spoils the whole purpose of having an equipment. Get this only and only if you want to try something unique, but don’t expect unparalleled results from it! It is not a necessity!!

• Heats up quick
• Easy to use
• Does not hurt the eyes or lashes
• Curls very well
• Curl stays intact
• Makes eyes look more open
• Great for people who are scared of traditional curlers
But then, every curler does all this!
Cons of ModelCo Turbo Lashwand Heated Eyelash Curler:
• Overpriced
• Time consuming
• Does not curl dramatically
• Not very effective with thick lashes
• May not curl superbly in one go
• Fragile (almost)
• Need to use mascara before curling

Would I Recommend ModelCo Turbo Lashwand Heated Eyelash Curler?
Heating your traditional steel eyelash curler with a hair dryer and then curling your eyelashes would give you the same results as this. I think you’ve got my answer! But, if you are scared of traditional curlers, give this one a try.
