Today, I am here to share my views on Molton Brown Blossoming Honeysuckle and White Tea Bath and Shower Gel. I had purchased the travel-size bath and body products from Molton Brown, so I could decide if I wanted to go for the bigger versions. To find out if this shower gel was able to impress me, please continue reading.
Price: £10 for 100ml
A floral bath & body wash blended with silky honeysuckle, antioxidant-rich white tea leaf and warm heliotrope.
Top notes: bergamot and mandarin.
Heart notes: honeysuckle, white tea and jasmine.
Base notes: sandalwood, heliotrope and vanilla.
It comes packaged in a transparent plastic bottle with a metallic screw open cap. In my opinion, the size is indeed travel-friendly, but not the cap. An additional inner leakproof cap should have been provided, or they can revise the original cap.
My Experience with Molton Brown Blossoming Honeysuckle and White Tea Bath and Shower Gel:
The main reason I got attracted to this bath and shower gel was the pretty colour and the fact that it has blossoming honeysuckle and white tea. It’s a lilac coloured shower gel which can be used as a body wash and also for soaking bathtub baths. The oil extracted from sweet smelling honeysuckle is a great aromatherapy oil which alleviates mental and physical stress. It has excellent antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, hence works wonders to relieve skin rashes and blemishes. Additionally, it can provide relief from sunburns.
White tea has antioxidant and anti-ageing properties which help in maintaining a good and healthy skin. It protects the skin from the harmful effects of UV light. The fragrance is nice, sweet, refreshing and, at the same time, intoxicating. However, the lasting power is not very long; it just lasts a few minutes or so. I feel the middle notes of honeysuckle, white tea and jasmine are more obvious and last longer. The top notes of bergamot and mandarin disappear very quickly and the base notes sandalwood, heliotrope and vanilla are very subtle and can hardly be sensed.
I pour it on a wet bath lilly to cleanse my body and then shower. This shower gel tends to foam and lather a lot, which is a real put off for me. The main reason is that I do not like products which lather too much. It is definitely made of all good-for-skin ingredients and fresh aromatic products, but sadly this one failed to gel with my body chemistry and requirements. It cleanses my body and makes me feel refreshed. The fragrance is very good, but not long-lasting and I feel the need to use a body lotion or a moisturiser after using this shower gel. I feel this bath and shower gel is more appropriate for bath tub soaking especially for those who enjoy gels that foam or lather a lot.

IMBB Rating: 3/5
