Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub Review

Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub Review

Hi Beauties,

I am back with a review after a short break.  Even though I took a break from writing; I didn’t take a break from my beloved face masks and will be reviewing a mask I used a couple of weeks ago.

Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub Review

Since I love trying out different face masks as part of DIY pampering, I also use 100% natural products (besan, turmeric, strawberry puree) as alternatives in-between just to make sure I don’t overload my skin with artificial products, etc.

Product Description:

Exfoliate with our Apricot Scrub as part of your beauty regime for a radiant, glowing complexion. Bursting with sweet mango this rich facial scrub deep cleanses & revitalises. Crushed Apricot Kernels removes dead skin cells whilst Aloe Vera softens & soothes leaving skin super soft.

How To Use

Cleanse face and dry. Apply evenly over face and neck with fingertips, avoiding eyes and lips. Lie back and relax for 5-10 minutes, or until dry. Rinse off with warm water. Pat dry. Use weekly.

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub:

This is a unique product as in a face mask and scrub, all in one. I was attracted to this mask as it is the first time I saw a product which would act as a scrub and a mask and also because it contained crushed apricot kernels for exfoliation and also mango extracts for a dose of antioxidants. It also contains apricot kernel oil which works as an excellent moisturiser which moisturises skin without making it oily. As soon as I opened the mask, I was warmly welcomed by the beautiful fragrance of mango oil. It had a scrubby texture but was less abrasive and softer than the St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

Swatch

The directions instruct you to first massage the face and then leave it on as a scrub, but I would suggest doing the following from my experience.  First apply this on you face as a mask and watch it harden and dry quickly. When the time  comes, after 10 minutes, gently wet the mask and then exfoliate by massaging in gentle motions. The reason is, as soon as the mask is on, it dries quite soon, so massaging at that point will be harsh on the skin.

After washing off, I felt my skin was exfoliated thoroughly even though it was not harsh on my skin. I feel this is a much better product compared to St. Ives Apricot Scrub, as it was less harsh. My skin also felt rejuvenated and smooth after ultra cleansing. The pores on my nose had reduced a bit. I would definitely recommend this as a fortnightly treatment. If used on face and neck, this sachet is can be used twice.

Pros of Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub:

  • Contains delicious and skin beneficial ingredients such as apricot kernel oil, mango and evening primrose oil.
  • The walnut and crushed apricot kernel granules are quite soft and less abrasive compared to other face scrubs containing apricot.
  • Montagne Jeunesse products do not contain harmful chemicals or parabens.
  • Not tested on animals.

Cons of Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub:

  • Storing of opened sachets is a concern as one sachet can be used for more than one time.

Will I Repurchase Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub?

I don’t find any other cons of this product. I will repurchase this after I run out of face masks that I have currently stocked up.
