Hi Lovely Ladies,
After reading reviews on this brand on IMBB, I was also tempted to purchase a few face masks from this brand. I checked out their website and saw that there was a whole lot of products offered. However, in Australia, there are quite some for sale, but not the whole range. I have seen these products so many times at Target and Priceline; however, I did not want to try these as I thought the package and the way it was presented was a bit weird (the lady with leaves on her eyes, all other aspects of the package was kind of cute).
Also, as it was priced at around $4, I was not sure if the product could actually deliver anything special. However, I was so wrong and was quite impressed with this mask.
I initially picked up two face masks and a hair mask, the first one I tried was the Very Berry Mask (the blueberries were purchased especially for the photo shoot; however, I ate them afterwards! :happydance: ).
This was a cream-based mask which promises to moisturise and cleanse skin. So why did I, a person with oily skin pick it up? Well even though my facial skin is oily, I do get some dry spells. The harsh weather in Australia leaves the skin around my nose and lips dry. I feel my skin has changed to combination nowadays. So, I do use some moisturising serums/masks, etc., as well.
Bursting with the juice of pressed blueberries and crushed cranberries our fruity beauty is packed with antioxidants. Nourishing peach kernel oil and soothing aloe will leave your skin refreshed and cleansed.
Price differs between each store, usually between $3.80-$4, I bought it for $3.90.
This product contains Bentonite-natural clay, Peach kernel oil, raspberry fruit extract, aloe vera leaf juice, blueberry fruit extracts, cranberry fruit extract and grape extract among others.
Looks like this product is loaded with anti-oxidants which are very beneficial to skin, to fight free radicals which cause aging in skin.
Directions For Use:
My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry Ultra Moisturising and Cleansing Mask:
This sachet has a knob on one side for easy opening and to control the amount of product. Also, because this mask can be used more than one time, it is important that the sachet is not teared with a big opening because the product might dry before it is used the next time.
Once I got the product out, my first impression based on the smell and colour was “blueberry bubblegum.” The texture was creamy and not too thick, just the right consistency to spread and was of light purple/lavender colour. There was a tiny bit of glitter in the product. You will love the smell if you like berry smoothies/bubble tea/bubblegum, etc. I applied the mask on my face and neck and relaxed for 15 minutes.
Soon after application, there was a very cooling sensation, shortly followed by a heating sensation (I know it is bizarre). Later, I felt a tingle and thought my skin is going to react badly to this mask. However, all these went off in a few seconds and it felt lovely. After 15 minutes, I washed my face and neck and there was a definite improvement in skin tone, which was brighter and skin felt smoother and radiant. There were a few glitter particles left on the skin after washing, but it went off after I washed my face for the second time (I’m not too fond of glitter).
Later on, throughout the whole day, I felt my skin was looking brighter and radiant. Skin was also adequately moisturised, so that I could actually skip moisturiser. The dry spots around my lips were also not visible. Because this is a cream-based mask (it won’t dry too soon like a clay-based mask). I’m not too worried about storing the rest of the product, as each sachet can be used at least twice.
This is how I’m storing it, in a zip lock bag.
Why I Love Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry Ultra Moisturising and Cleansing Mask:
- Made my skin look radiant and refreshed.
- Did not break me out.
- Contains natural and mineral ingredients without any nasty synthetic preservatives.
- All natural ingredients are sourced through sustainable farming.
- Paraben free.
- All products from this brand are cruelty free, not tested on animals and suitable for vegans.
- Priced very reasonably. Actually, I think it is very cheap because a cup of coffee costs $3.50 (and coffee is actually bad for skin). :haanji:
What I Do Not Like about Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry Ultra Moisturising and Cleansing Mask:
- The glitter was very unnoticeable but it annoyed me.
- Not too fond of the packaging, I am not against the sachet form of packaging, I just don’t like the look of it with all the leaves on the ladies face, looks a bit tacky to me.
- I don’t know how to pronounce “Montagne Jeunesse,” :secret2: this is not an actual con.
My Verdict on Montagne Jeunesse Very Berry Ultra Moisturising and Cleansing Mask:
I am loving this purchase. I used the chocolate-infused hair mask on the same day and loved it even more, so far I love this brand and will definitely buy more products from this brand. However, I don’t know if all products will work well for me.
