Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud Review

Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud Review

Hey Everyone,

This is my first purchase from Montagne Jeunesse and also my first review.  First a little about me, I am 18 years old and studying engineering and I am a makeup and skin care junkie   After reading fab reviews about the masques of MJ, I bought quite a few masques.  The rest of the masques that I have bought have already been reviewed and this is the first one I have tried.  So, here goes the review.

Ingredients

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud:

Well to start with, I have combination skin and it gets oily in summer and normal in winter.  I get 1-2 breakouts every month which results in blemishes sometimes, so this mask is perfect for me. This masque is in off-white colour and its smell is indescribable according to me.  When I opened the pack, I was like “um… it smells like vapour rub!” 😛 but it’s not unpleasant, but definitely different, kind of like an Ayurveda smell.

Blemish Mud

It has a thick consistency and spreads easily. I applied this mask on my face and neck and on application, it feels cool and soothing. Within 5 minutes, the mask started to harden and there was a tightening feeling. I washed it off after it was completely dry which was about 10 minutes from application.  Since it’s a mud mask, it is best suitable for oily/combination skin and dry-skinned beauties should stay away from this.

After washing, my face was glowing and smooth and looked thoroughly cleansed with clean pores, feeling fresh and there was a tightening effect with a cool feeling too. Overall, it’s a great mask for weekly usage.  As for the effect on blemishes, I did not see any major difference though, but it soothed the redness on my cheek.

Here’s the swatch.

Pros of Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud:

  • Paraben free.
  • Gluten free.
  • Contains no animal products, i.e., its vegan friendly.
  • Cruelty free.
  • Suitable for sensitive skin.
  • Good for acne/blemish prone skin.
  • The ingredients sound exotic :silly:
  • Easily available on online beauty stores and also from their official site.

Cons of Montagne Jeunesse Blemish Mud:

  • It can be a little drying for normal skin.
  • Because of its packaging, you may have to use it within a few days itself, even if you store it in a zip lock bag.

That is all, I guess 😐

4/5
