Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Cooler Review

Montagne Jenuesse is a brand which has not let me down up to now.  Some of their products was a “wow” for me and others reasonably good. However, I haven’t had a bad experience yet.  I have used face masks so far and this is my first venture outside the “face masks area.” One of my besties travelled to UK last month, and I asked her to buy me some Montagne Jeunesse products from UK since it is cheaper. This is a foot cooler containing iced blueberry and balm mint.

Like most MJ products, this also comes in a sachet. I think the sachet packaging is a pro and con for Montagne Jeunesse. Sachets are easy to carry and travel with and in case you don’t like a product, you can throw it out after one or two uses and there is no need to get stuck with a product you don’t like. However, since almost all of these sachets have enough for more than one use, in some cases, up to four or five uses, storing them is a problem. They do keep well for a week in a zip lock bag though. I only wish they create an indent in the package and separate it into two packages.

foot deodorant

Back to the product, this is a deodorising foot cooler which is of a lotion to gel consistency and upon application turns into a powder.

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Cooler:

This comes in a pretty sachet, shaped as a pair of feet, very colourful packaging.  Even though, I’m not too fond of the design of face masks, I really like this design.  This product contains anti-bacterial formula and has peppermint oil and menthol to give a cooling feeling to feet.  There is enough product in this sachet to be used at least four to five times. Since it is a lotion that dries to a powder on my feet, I was worried about saving it for later use. However, it did not solidify or dry and I stored it in a zip lock bag in my vanity cupboard for a week.

The lotion is of a light blue colour and has a very light consistency. This thin lotion is not creamy but watery and as soon as it is applied on feet and massaged, it turns into a white colour powder on the feet. The aroma has a minty texture and is pleasant. As soon as I applied, it did not feel heavy like a cream, it felt cool and relaxing for about a minute and felt light on my feet. I felt fascinated when the lotion dried into talc within minutes while cooling and relaxing my feet. However, since it leaves white powder marks on my feet until I wash my feet the following morning; this product is more suitable for use at night. I wish it turned into a colourless talc instead.

Foot

This is a really good product for use after prolonged walking, excercising, standing on high heels the whole day, etc.  I will definitely carry a sachet if I know I’ll be walking a lot when on holiday.

Pros of Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Cooler:

  • Refreshes feet after a long day and gives a cooling sensation.
  • Unlike other creams which make feet sticky, this dries into a talc easily.
  • Sachet packaging is easy to carry and excess can be stored in a zip lock bag.
  • Smells like peppermint and is refreshing.
  • Not tested on animals and is 100% vegetarian.

Cons of Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Cooler:

  • It says, “does not contain added parabens,” but in the indredient list there is methyl and propyl paraben. Blueberries contain naturally-occurring parabens; don’t know if it is the confusion here.
  • The sachet can be used up to five times, so it would have helped if it had been split into two or three sections.
  • It dries in to a white colour talc, which only goes away after washing, as a result cannot wear open-toe sandals soon after application.

IMBB Rating:

4/5. No complaints about this product, again MJ hasn’t let me down, not a miracle product, but worth the price.

  1. Good morning Supriya….you are very own MJ specialist……good review and would love to try such a foot deo which turns to talc :woot: :woot:

    1. Thanks Jomol,….I like MJ, mainly cos they come in sachets so I can try different different stuff. each time …

Are you still unwell?…Right now we are planning the trip to Kerala,….cant wait to go on the house boat 🙂

  2. Hi Dee,

Not available here, My friend got it for me 🙂 I love sachets for any kinda products than tubes/bottles etc

  3. hi Supriya – after reading your reviews I am very tempted to try MJ out too. all these masks etc are they a one time use (sachet type) or can they be used a few times?. I saw a review of a MJ hair mask few days ago on IMBB. wasnt sure where to get it from. UT dsoent have it.

    1. Hi Aru,

they are intended for one time use, thats why they come in sachets , but you have to really apply a lot to finish it in one go.If you use it sparingly it can be used even 4/5 times .Storing is a problem ,and since it is not advisable to use a face mask more than once a week,(since it has clay/peel off etc) by the time you use it for the second time , it wouldnt be as efficient as the first .

However , they have a budget range that Dee has reviewed , it comes in small one time use sachets , try to grab them if you can.

I have used the chocolate hair mask ….. :yahoo:

      1. Eventhough I am satisfied with all their masks my best two so far are Chocolate face mask, and self heating ginger and cinnamon one

          1. Hi Aru,

I have oily/combination skin. The ones I have used so far are

            1.Very berry
            2.Self heating ginger and cinnamon
            3.Anti stress mud mask
            4.Cucumber peel off
            5.Chocolate mask

All of the above are good for combination skin, if you look at jomol’s reviews she recommends the fudge sauna self heating mask.

Only if you have dry /sensitive skin, I’d advise you to be careful with these masks.

  4. Aru…these type of masks will come for around 3 times max, but you will have to store them really well, otherwise, they tend to dry out a bit. I suggest you start with the thermal masks from MJ…the self heating ones….that will be a good start O:)
