Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Scrub Review

Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Scrub Review

Hi Girls,

One of my friends on her recent visit to the UK brought me back some Montagne Jeunesse products. I had asked her to bring some products not available in Australia. I had already tried their foot cooler and was impressed, so I was excited to try the deodorising foot scrub. Both give good results when used together. Since it is winter, I have been wearing stockings, tights and boots all day. In such cases, taking good foot care which comprises of cleansing as well as deodorising is essential.

Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Scrub Review

I have been using foot scrubs on and off such as the VLCC scrub, Crabtree and Evelyn, etc., but I always forget to be consistent during winter. I was looking for a deodorising foot scrub and this product perfectly fitted my expectation.  The product comes in the typical MJ packaging, but instead of the lady’s face with flowers and fruits on it, this time it was a foot-shaped sachet with a pair of colourful feet. The product contains watermelon and mint extracts, so these are also pictured on the packaging.  The product claims to smooth skin by scrubbing and also contains anti-bacterial formula that combats foot odour.

Product Description:

Put your feet up.  This natural watermelon and balm mint foot scrub removes dry and rough areas.  Our new deodorising formula combats odour so your feet will be left feeling smooth and fresh all over.  Ideal for use before our liquid foot cooler.

Deodorising Foot Scrub

Directions For Use:

Apply to clean, dry feet including between the toes.  Gently massage with your hand, sponge or loofah until rough skin is removed. Rinse feet and dry. Use twice a week or as required.

Ingredients:

Foot Scrub

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Scrub:

As soon as I cut open the package, the smell of menthol invited me.  The foot scrub is brown in colour with black granules.  The texture is quite watery. Since the product is runny and has granules which try to stick to the bathroom floor easily, I prefer to use this scrub in my bath tub or in my foot spa. I have tried using this on wet as well as dry skin and I feel the scrub works better on dry skin. The exfoliation feels a bit rough on my skin, but I like foot scrubs to be rough, so I would not complain. However, the roughness is appropriate for the heel area, but for the skin on top of feet, vigorous scrubbing might be too harsh.

Foot Scrub

The menthol smell overpowered the watermelon as well as the mint fragrance of the scrub.  After scrubbing each foot for almost a minute, I washed them and my feet felt refreshed, smooth and deodorised.  The fragrance lingered on my feet for quite some time after that.  I have used the Montagne Jeunesse Foot Cooler before, please see the review here.

When I used the foot cooler after the foot scrub, my feet felt refreshed and rejuvenated. The sachet has sufficient product for at least four uses.  The product stores well in a zip lock bag for up to a week.  I am using the foot care range from Montagne Jeunesse regularly these days as I haven’t been going to the parlour for pedicures. This product range is good for DIY foot pampering.

Pros of Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Scrub:

  • Contains natural extracts such as walnut shell, watermelon and balm mint to smooth and deodorise feet.
  • Refreshes tired feet and gets rid of dead skin, especially on heels.
  • Comes in a sachet and is easy to take along during travel.
  • The fragrance lingers along for some time after washing off the product.
  • Montagne Jeunesse products are not tested on animals.

Cons of Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Scrub:

  • Unlike face masks from this brand, this foot scrub contains parabens.
  • Might cause some sensitivity on broken or sensitive skin.
  • Product should be stored in a zip lock bag and preferably in the fridge to maintain freshness.

Will I Repurchase Montagne Jeunesse Deodorising Foot Scrub?

Definitely yes, this is not available in Australia and I had to buy this from eBay.

This product delivers what it promises, but is not exactly a “wow” product for me to give it 5 stars.
