The weather is getting hotter here. Its 15 degrees as I write and I am wishing it was winter again. Though spring/summer makes everything bloom, it makes my skin suffer. You guys must know my craze for face masks 🙂 Well, I have put all the self-heating masks into storage and I am now trying out those which will keep me cool and fresh. I tried the apple and cucumber one a few days back and recently the Montagne Jeunesse Green Tea Peel Off, which I will be reviewing now.

My Experience with Montagne Jeunesse Green Tea Peel Off Masque:
Just reading through the list of ingredients (lemon, ginger, green tea, aloe, ginseng) made me feel so fresh and cool. I could not wait to try it out. The mask comes in a sachet like most of MJ products and is very pale green in colour. One gripe I have with MJ masks is that the pictures on the front of the sachet show the colour of the masks to be so bright. These bright colors are so enticing, but in actual, the masks are a paler version of the color. Well, they do have a disclaimer which states that the color of the product may vary from the pictures shown 🙁
Let’s begin with the fragrance, as soon as I opened the sachet, I was hit with an infusion of smells ranging from lemon to ginger to green tea. It felt like I was sitting in a Chinese or Thai restaurant sipping some herbal soup 🙂 Initially, the smell was a bit too strong and I was not sure if I would like it. The mask is a bit runny and was a bit messy to apply. I do not like to store opened sachets, so I used up the entire thing. There was sufficient to cover my face and entire neck. I left it on for 15-20 minutes by which time it had dried.
It was easy to peel off and came out in a single piece like the Face Food Orange Oil Mask. I noticed that it had thoroughly cleansed my face. All traces of dead cells or dirt were gone. Skin looked bright and clean, very smooth to touch. It felt like I had a brand new skin. I did not wash my face as the mask had come off cleanly without leaving any traces behind. The fragrance (now milder) lingered on for a few hours.
