I’d been eyeing this particular Morphe brush for a while and bought it as soon as it was available at my local beauty store. For the past couple of months, I have been trying and reviewing Morphe products. In this post, I am reviewing a brush that I bought after a recommendation by my favorite beauty guru. I adore her makeup and sometimes try to imitate her looks. She has a whole set of recommended brushes but buying them all together is expensive, so I have been buying them as and when I find some petty cash or as they become available in my local store. This brush comes highly recommended by her and rightly so.

My Experience with Morphe R10 Deluxe Tapered Powder Brush:
R10 is a tapered face brush which is perfect for contouring and face shading. It has a long, slender stem in matte black finish and bristles are tightly held in the rose gold colored metal case. The brush looks expensive, well made and the bristles are super soft. The bristles are cream-white in color and are made up of sable. They are easy to clean; I use rubbing alcohol for spot cleaning or mild dish cleaning detergent for deep cleaning. Till now the brush has not shed any of the bristles.
It can be used to apply a bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks to accentuate them. It can also be used to lightly dust some blush or powder on the face and I also use it to apply highlighter on the high points of my cheeks and blend it with the blush. I also use it to set my face with a loose powder. I apply loose powder with a wet sponge for face “baking”. I then use this brush to diffuse the powder in the undereye area after the powder is set and also to blend the powder around the mouth.
The bristles are tightly packed but are fluffy which is perfect for blending loose powder. The brush has a tapered shape and the bristles flare out at the end. This makes blending of powder products easier and gives a seamless diffused finish. This brush has a high density of bristles which are made up of an artificial material which is preferable for me because natural bristles absorb more product because of pores in them.
Also, I find it easier to clean an artificial bristle brush. Because of its pointed shape, we can use it to add depth to the hollows of our cheeks and give a more chiselled appearance to the face. It can also be used to apply a highlighter on the high points of the face and blend it. It does not shed even though I use it vigorously for blending and shading.

Verdict: This makeup brush by Morphe is a well-made and expensive-looking face makeup brush. It is super soft and fluffy, picks up the right amount of product and diffuses it well. I do recommend it to readers because it’s affordable and versatile.
