This single eyeshadow shade “Tipsy” is one of the 9 eyeshadows that I bought from Morphe. I had heard raving reviews about this brand, about its performance and affordability, so decided to give it a try and went a little overboard picking up products. I bought more than 20 makeup brushes, which I am still trying and testing and will review one by one.

My Experience with Morphe Single Eyeshadow ES109 Tipsy:
I do eye makeup every day. Some days, I mix and blend multiple colors and sometimes when in a rush, I just apply one color to prevent my eyelids from appearing oily. I love to wear eyeshadows but I never dare to wear daring colors such as blues and greens or yellows. I even avoid pinks and other cool-toned colors. I prefer warm-toned colors such as browns, copper, bronze, burgundy and so on.
“Tipsy” is a matte, dark brown shade which appears burgundy as per the image on the website, but in person, it is much more brown and appears to have no undertone of mauve. This shade is perfect to accentuate outer corner of the eyes to give a smokey appearance to eyes. It can also be used to blend kohl in the waterline and add a more dramatic look to eye makeup. I apply this color on outer corner of my eyelids and blend it into my eye socket with a large fluffy brush. I do this as step 2 of my eye makeup process. As step 1, I apply a light, bright shade all over the lid to open my eyes a little.
These single eyeshadows by Moprhe come securely packed in a hard-cardboard case and all of them arrived safely without any damages. The product is pressed in an aluminum pan and I was glad to see that for a such low price, they provide generous amount of product. The pan is deeper than the usual single eyeshadows I purchase.
All the 9 Morphe eyeshadows that I bought are highly pigmented. They can be easily picked up with a dense bristle brush and packed on the eyelids. Another good feature is that they have minimal fall out and give a good wear time (they stay crease-free for 6-8 hours).
I love the shade “Tipsy.” Although it is not burgundy, (the reason I chose this shade), I still love it and wear it when I want to do smokey eye makeup. The product is decently priced and comes in a study, round-shaped aluminium pan, and most importantly, it can be attached in any custom eyeshadow palette. I usually stick a magnet behind my single eyeshadow pans and attach them to an aluminium pencil case.
Pros of Morphe Single Eyeshadow ES109 Tipsy:
- The packaging is very sturdy and stays intact during shipping.
- Comes in a good-sized aluminium pan. The product quantity is appreciable for the money paid.
- This shade is perfect to make the eyes appear large by darkening the outer corner of the eyes.
- Highly pigmented, minimal fall out.
- Can easily be picked up with a dense, bristle brush and applied on the lids.
- Stays crease free for 6 to 8 hours.
- Morphe products are available internationally as well.
Cons of Morphe Single Eyeshadow ES109 Tipsy:
- For single eyeshadows, it is better to invest in a good empty eyeshadow palette to store them safely or DIY one for ourselves.
- It needs a good primer underneath or after 6-8 hours, it will crease and almost vanish.
Would I Repurchase Morphe Single Eyeshadow ES109 Tipsy?
It is a beautiful brown color and can be worn alone as well. It is affordable, comes a sturdy pan, and is highly pigmented. I do recommend it to readers.
