MUA 12 Shade Undressed Palette Review

By Kajol Dave

Hey guys,

I am back with another review! I recently picked up two eyeshadows palettes from “Make Up Academy” (MUA) and I am loving both of them. I have done a review for the Winter Forest Matte Collection Palette and today I will be talking about the 12 Shades undressed palette. At first I wasn’t convinced with the colour range because it had only two matte shades and rest 10 are glittery shades but then after using it for few days, I have different thoughts. Read on if you want to know about my experience with the MUA palette.

I have heard amazing things about “Mua” eyeshadows and guess what? The eyeshadows are incredible. Every eyeshadow colour is very soft, buttery and feels creamy when you apply it.

My Experience with MUA 12 Shade Undressed Palette:

I am a fan of this palette and I highly recommend it. The texture is soft and smooth of every colour. Besides that, I have oily eye lids and usually I need a primer to keep them in place but with these that wasn’t the case. The glittery shades stayed on my eye lids for 4 hours without fading away. They did not move at all but the colour seemed to get dull after few hours.

I would suggest that you use a wet brush when applying the lighter shades in this palette. The colours blend well and the glitter particles do not fall out or anything of that sort. They are a little chalky but that is not an issue for me. I love the shade, Bronze Ore because it is that dull bronze colour which is very metallic and not shimmery. Another thing I like about this palette is that the matte shades given in the palette are black and brown. So you get shimmery shades, metallic looking shades, transition shades, black eye liner kind of shade and few extras (which can be used to highlight).

This palette is versatile and how! Other than the good things, there are some bad things about this palette too. In the other matte palette and in this one, the lighter shades have a little less pigmentation. The brush provided is kind of useless and there is no mirror. Apart from this, I wish they would have put in at least 2 more matte shades because if a person is only buying this palette then all they get is shimmery shades and only two matte shades. But then again, which girl has only one palette! Nonetheless I currently love this palette and it is surely worth the money.

I love both the “MUA” palettes I have purchased recently. But I am not going to repurchase this because there is a lot of product remaining in this and it will go a long way. Also, I want to try other palettes from the same brand.
