MUA Blusher Shade #3 Review

MUA Blusher Shade #3

I have never used blushers before. It is only after reading through IMBB that I decided to give it a try and what better way than to try one from MUA. MUA products are a make-up collection range from Superdrug where everything from eye shadow to powder costs just £1.

I visit Superdrug often or order from their website. So, on my last order; I added this to the basket. When I ordered, there were only 4 shades of blushers to choose from. The shades are not named, rather numbered from 1 to 4. I picked up the Shade 3.

When my package arrived, I noticed that the blusher was a tad bit darker than how it appeared in the pictures. Well, that is one drawback of online shopping, but I liked the colour nonetheless. I cannot describe the colour well, it’s kind of peachy pink, but you will get a better idea looking at the pictures.

On my very first attempt at applying the blusher, it went wrong 🙂 and I ended up looking like a clown.  Luckily, there was no one at home. I then re-read some posts about blushers and their mode of application and re-applied on a fresh face. When I used it the first time, I guess the brush picked up some loose powder and that’s what ended up on my cheeks.

I feel the blusher is very pigmented. You need just a wee bit to get that rosy glow on your cheeks. You need a gentle swipe (very light) and you get the perfect colour. If you use too much, it will end up looking bad. The colour stayed on for a  good 3-4 hours which was enough for me. For ladies, who need it day long, you will need to touch up after 3-4 hours. However, the box is so small, it will easily fit even in the tiniest of purses.

Pros of MUA Blusher Shade #3:

  • Cheap and affordable.
  • Good pigmentation and colour payoff.
  • Easy to carry.
  • Packaging, I liked the lid. Once closed, it won’t open up on its own. So, you can carry it in your handbag without worries.

Cons of MUA Blusher Shade #3:

  • Very few shades to choose from.
  • As a novice blusher user, I can find no other cons in this one. I am happy with it for the price and the effect that it gives.

Price:

£1 for 2.4 g.

Rating:

4/5.

Will I Buy MUA Blusher Shade #3 Again?

If you are new to blushers like me, then this is the one for you. It’s a steal at £1 and it’s decent enough in terms of quality. I am all for products which offer quality at a good value, so I will definitely try the other shades too.

  1. Have this one and it’s amazing. A little goes a long way. MUA have their own website now…muastore.co.uk. They offer international shipping at £7.50 I guess. Some of you can place your orders together to share the cost of shipping. They have new products and more shades on their website :D. And I got a free 24 colour eyeshadow palette after spending £8.

  2. Dee…..I have also just started on blushers :happydance: :happydance: ….this one looks like a good neat one without shimmers….I hate shimmers in my blush……. :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

    1. Yes, this one is good, Jomol. Like Anna said you can club together and order from MUA’s website along with a friend. They have a lot of stuff in the £1 range and some higher priced items too.
