MUA Cover and Conceal Wand Review

MUA Cover and Conceal Wand Review

I never use foundation in my everyday routine since I don’t suffer much from blemishes and spots. I have combination skin and most of the foundations break me out. So, I happily settle with a tinted moisturizer, but what to do with these terrible under-eye dark circles due to my over use of laptop!! I was shopping online for MUA stuff a couple of weeks ago, so added their cover and conceal wand in my cart. Read further to know how it fared for me.

My Take on MUA Cover and Conceal Wand:

Packaging:  The concealer comes in a standard lip gloss like tube with a doe-foot applicator, which makes it very easy to carry and use. It is a transparent sturdy tube.

Texture:  MUA Cover and Conceal wand’s natural shade is an ivory shade. The consistency is perfect, just like a foundation. The texture of the product is creamy and really blendable. Just dab some product using the wand and blend with your finger. It finishes off with a dewy finish, so doesn’t gives the under eye area total matte look. I prefer to set it with translucent powder. I have a combination skin, but it has never creases; neither does it sinks in pores. It is hydrating and doesn’t highlight dry patches.

Coverage and Lasting Power:  Considering the price tag, it provides a decent coverage, but since the product already describes itself as a lightweight cover-up for imperfections, one should not expect HD result from this.

For my dark circles, it didn’t completely hide them because they are terrible, but did a decent job on its own. This is the perfect product for someone who has slight dark circles. So, for under eye area, it has medium coverage and lasts a good of 3-4 hours after setting up with a powder, but cannot do wonders for heavy dark circles.

For blemishes and redness, I tried it on my sister and it is a total failure. It covers the spots really well when first applied, but it didn’t last, even if I set it. The coverage, while full at first, faded quickly and within an hour, the blemishes were exposed again.

For redness, this performed well though not the best. It provided good coverage and lasted for a decent time.

Would I Repurchase/Do I Recommend MUA Cover and Conceal Wand?

No, since I suffer from worst dark circles, I need a HD concealer, but I will recommend it to those with very little dark circles or redness on face; this will work for these folks.
