I am not too fond of any lip products by MUA, but thought of trying out this lip cream in the shade Hedonic as I read some good reviews about the other shades from this range. I bought this lippie along with the Elysium Palette and Hedonic Whipped Velvet Blush. I liked this shade Hedonic as it seemed very light and perfect for day time wear. Read on to find out how this product fared.

My Experience with MUA Hedonic Luxe Whipped Velvet Lips:
Hedonic comes in a fat tube packaging with a twist-open cap. The tube is transparent which makes color identification very easy. The black cap holds a doe-tip wand for applying the color. The length of the wand is just right for comfortable application. There is not much information written on the tube apart from the brand name. Packaging is sleek and travel friendly. You can easily throw this in you makeup pouch.
The texture is smooth and very creamy. It’s so creamy, that it gets difficult to apply as it comes out of the lip edges. This lippy doesn’t dry out to a matte finish and remains a bit greasy. There is no distinct fragrance to irritate your senses. It has a very light vanilla scent which vanishes after few minutes.
Hedonic is a very soft and milky pink shade. It does not suit my skin tone and washes me out completely. I guess it would look good on fairer beauties. The lippie does not dry out my lips and keeps them moisturized for some time. The pigmentation is just ok, not too great! Single swipe is not enough; at least 2-3 swipes are required for a semi opaque finish. Overloading the color leads to that cakey and uncomfortable feeling.
This lip cream transfers a lot and only stays put until I drink or eat something. It cannot survive even the lightest of munching. I applied it in the morning at 8:00 am and by 9:00 am, it was all gone. I am really disappointed with the staying power.

Conclusion: You can give this baby a miss. There are a lot of good options available in the same price range with better color payoff and staying power.

This is a very light shade. It will be very difficult for Indian skin tones to pull it off.
