My Take on MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner pencil Rich Brown
Like I mentioned in my last review on MUA’s Eye Primer , that I ordered a few products last year from their website. I was falling short of some 1-2 £s to avail their free International shipping offer, so I added this in eye liner in my order mainly because I am really fond of using eye pencils over liquid/gel liners and particularly in shade “Brown” as I feel it looks more natural;subtle for day wear as compared to black.So, this brown eye liner seemed like a safe bet for me .
Packaging
The MUA intense eye liner comes in a sharpenable pencil form . Earlier, I used to find retractable eye liners more convenient to use; but with time, I have shifted to such sharpenable version in eye pencils. I also like the fact that a good quality sharpener is included as a cap of the pencil. I find the The eye liner pencil to be of average/normal length. The pencil has all the necessary information printed on it.
Pigmentation, Texture/Formula
At the price point of 1£, I was not really expecting the eye liner to be really great but surprisingly it has this really soft, creamy formula and it applies so smoothly on the eye lids without any issues(like tugging,pulling,scratching) at all. I have this eye liner with me since last year and it is still very soft, has not changed /hardened a bit. I find the shade to be quite pigmented too and you can even easily build up its intensity as per your liking. Also, I have tried it on my water line and it does not sting/irritate my eyes, so I believe it is water line safe!
Staying power
While the eye liner does manage to impress you with its pigmeted, soft/creamy formula/low price point; but unfortunately, this has very un-impressive staying power.On the water liner it just vanishes/fades away within an hour of application. On my eye lids, if I wear it over a primer and set it with a powder eyeshadow, it manages to stay for maximum 2-3 hours only, after which it starts to fade off and without a primer, it just smudges and fades off completely within an hour.
Overall, this is an average eye liner pencil, I feel. I like the soft, creamy formula it has and I cannot really fret about the staying power much since it’s a low priced product.I don’t use this often for lining my eyes as the Faces eye liner pencils do a much better job (though I sometimes do use it as a base when I am doing brown smokey eye makeup). I doubt I would purchase this again or try other shades. However, you can try this if you are looking for a budget eye liner pencil and you don’t mind re applying/touch ups

I have used some products from MUA and the quality is pretty decent but this pencil doesnt seem to come upto the expectations.
The pigmentation looks okayish from the swatches and EOTD pictures. But then for 1£ its OK if it doesnt work that well ..great review 😀
