Hello girls!
I am back with another review from my stash of eyeliners and this one is a royal blue eyeliner from MUA. Although this shades looks lovely, it’s not a pleasant one. Let’s read more about it.
Price: £1.00
My Experience with MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil Royal Blue:
Packaging: This is not really a fancy packaging but it comes with a very good sharpener which is makes this pencil liner travel-friendly. The pencil’s size is smaller as compared to other eye liners. But the pencil liner has the exact shade as the pencil: royal blue. When I started using it, after some days, the cap started to become loose and it becomes messy too.
Texture: I really hate the texture of this eyeliner as it is very matte and in fact rough. It is not smooth enough to glide easily on our sensitive and soft eye area. You need at least 3-4 swipes to get the liner perfectly on your eyelids. I fail to get a perfect eyeliner look even after 4-5 swipes. And, in my case, I love matte lipsticks but not matte eyeliners. In fact, I like the creamy and glossy ones; at least those eyeliners that can glide smoothly without putting much stress on the eye area.
Pigmentation and Staying Power: The pigmentation of this eyeliner is something I really like. It has a good color payoff and it looks pretty good on my black eyes. I have wheatish complexion and it suits my skin tone perfectly. Also this shade would look gorgeous on fair skin tones. The color is pretty close to a royal blue shade but is not as dark as royal blue. You get a good color payoff from this eyeliner but you need to keep swiping the pencil 3-4 times as the texture is really bad.
The sharpener has a killer blade which does not eat up much of the product. You can see in the pictures that after 3 swipes the pencil nib almost broke, and it breaks very easily and very fast. You really need to put a little extra efforts on the pencil nib to get a perfect liner. And, this is not all girls! The worst part of this eyeliner is here – it is not waterproof and smudges badly and immediately. I applied it (3-4 swipes) and it stayed on my eyes for just half an hour. Yes, I have oily eyelids but other eyeliners do survive on my eyelids.
Pros of MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil Royal Blue:
⦁ Super cheap
⦁ A nice blue shade
⦁ Good color pay-off
⦁ Travel-friendly
⦁ Nice sharpener
Cons of MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil Royal Blue:
⦁ Smudges badly
⦁ Stays for hardly an hour
⦁ Not even waterproof
⦁ Rough texture
⦁ Very matte for the eye area
⦁ The pencil is small plus the nib keeps breaking
⦁ Application is difficult with this pencil
IMBB Rating: 2/5
Comments: The price and the shade are good, but the quality is very poor. We cannot sacrifice the quality and texture for a low price; after all, it is your eye area.
