MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil- Turquoise

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another review today and this time it’s on the MUA intense colour eyeliner pencil in the shade turquoise. MUA is one of those brands which are cheap and cheerful and loved by most people- it is certainly a brand that is liked  on IMBB, judging by the number of reviews I have come across of this brand! For me, MUA is quite a hit and miss brand and that is because they have some products which are absolutely amazing but some which are not so great. One type of product that always stands out for me are the eyeliners. They are great, better than a lot of other brands in my opinion and they are an absolute bargain! I have come across some other great reviews on IMBB, on the MUA eyeliners, including two reviews on the MUA intense colour eyeliners in the shades Forest Green and Rich brown.

I also own two intense colour eyeliners, in the shades turquoise and snow white. I don’t use the snow white pencil that often, but I absolutely LOVE the turquoise eyeliner, since it gives such a great pop of colour to the eyes. Therefore, I’m going to be reviewing this pencil for you all today!

My take on the MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil

If I’m honest, I was not expecting these pencils to be that good because they are so cheap- but I was wrong. This pencil is absolutely amazing. I love everything about it. Let me first start with the formula of the pencil. The pencil is so easy to apply because it is very creamy and soft. A slight drag of this pencil gives such great colour payoff. It is also easy to blend to create a smoky eye because of its soft texture.

As the name suggests, this pencil really does give off intense colour payoff. With this particular pencil, the colour given off is very bright and vibrant and has an almost metallic sheen to it. Since this pencil is so vibrant, I normally wear a bit on my waterline but it is also perfect to apply on the upper lid. All you need is an angled brush which you can swipe across the pencil to get some of the product and then use the brush to create a nice winged liner.

I’m not sure of how many of you read my review on the No7 Stay Perfect Metallic Eye pencils. Those eye pencils were terrible since they were so hard and therefore meant you had to drag and pull the eyes in order to get any colour on them- this pencil is the exact opposite. It is also less than half the price of the No7 pencils! An individual No7 pencil costs £6.50 whilst an MUA pencil costs only £1 and it is of much greater quality- a higher price does not always mean higher quality!

As for how long the pencil lasts, I think it is pretty long lasting. When I apply it on the waterline it lasts for a good couple of hours and hardly budges- in fact, I found it quite difficult to remove. I also like the packaging of the pencil- it comes with a decent amount of product, a sharpener is included which is handy and the colour of the pencil is similar to that of the pencil colour. Sometimes, the product packaging is not consistent with the colour of the actual product which can be annoying, but that is not the case here.

Cons of MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil – Turquoise

I couldn’t find any!

I have found no cons with this pencil, apart from the fact that it may be difficult to purchase internationally. I know MUA does have a website which I guess is a lot more helpful now, but then again prices can differ and shipping costs etc… but despite that, this pencil is worth it. It is only £1 as well, so it really is a win-win situation!
