MUA Lip Liner – Brooding Plum Review

I have never been a lip liner or lipstick girl. I always prefer lip balms over lipsticks and recently I have been using lipsticks regularly to the office. I never owned a lip liner till now, and only a few days ago, during one of my shopping sprees, I spotted this and I fell in love. So, read on.

My Experience with MUA Lip Liner – Brooding Plum:

One of the main reasons I picked this was to match with Lakme Absolut Lip Tint Matte in Magenta Magic I have. I had a little bit of bleeding over the day with the lipstick. So, to tackle the issue, I picked this one up. The product is a wooden pencil and needs to be sharpened and is sealed assuring that no one else has used it. The color of the pencil indicates what it looks like The cap has a sharpener housed and thus is handy to use anytime.

The cap is a little loose and not tight. Even though it doesn’t loosen and come out, I am pretty scared that if I just tow it in my luggage, it might mess up. The reason why it is loose could also be that it is easier for sharpening. Most of the info of the product is written on the pencil. I am not sure on how long it would stay. The sharpener is quite good and is very handy if you have other pencil products. Overall, the packaging of the product is good. The liner is soft but doesn’t break off. It is creamy and glides perfectly.

The pigmentation is pretty dark and I give thumbs up for this. I never thought that a lip liner could be this pigmented. The liner is dark pigmented magenta pink. In fact, at times, I have used the lip liner to fill in my lips and it does justice. The product stays for pretty long too. I have dry, pigmented lips and the liner covers all the flaws and give a perfect plump to my lips. I can also use it to accentuate and line my lips perfectly. The product stays on without any issues for good 6 hours or more. My lipstick fades but not the liner. The lipliner doesn’t transfer a lot and doesn’t smudge for long. So overall, MUA Brooding Plum is a hit for me!
