This was a last minute purchase and it was launched just then, back in 2015. The packaging was so irresistible that it sold off the shelves like hot cakes. This was the only piece left, in the shade “Light Medium.”
A duo, bronzing compact perfect for effortless contouring. The lightweight powder in two tones allows for perfect sculpting, definition, and accentuation.
My Experience with MUA Luxe Bronze and Sculpt Contour Kit:
Well, this is a full-sized double decker product that you get here; not like a half pan highlighter and another half of bronzer! This very fact makes it worth the money. The packaging is gorgeous! It opens below to the contour powder which happens to be just perfect for my fair-medium Indian complexion. Also, there is so much of product in there!
The top part is the highlighter, which is very cool toned and whitish in shade. This is not to be used by medium to dark skin tones as it will really stand against your skin in white shine. I love the color for my highlight. The texture is average, not too smooth but it is not at all glittery or chalky. The powder is smooth and stiff to apply without any fallout. The highlight just adheres to the skin like a stain and does not budge once set, as it is hardly powdery – great for high cheek bones, Cupid ’s bow and the nose.
The bronze or contour powder is very warm, suits me just fine. For dark skin tones, you need a chocolate brown, which this is not. The contour powder is very matte, it has some fall out and there is powder being rubbed off when used, as you can see in the picture, but still, this is not chalky and shows up very well on my skin.
I am happy with the both the shades – the colors suit my fair medium skin tone, and the texture of both the powders is nice to work with as well. This is way better than the Maybelline duo that I had bought last year.
Pros of MUA Luxe Bronze and Sculpt Contour Kit:
- Perfect for fair to medium skin tones.
- Whitish highlight, catches light fabulously.
- Just the right texture, not too smooth or powdery.
- Fabulous packaging.
- Great quantity.
- Huge mirror provided.
- Blends well.
- Lasts 4+ hours on my oily skin.
Cons of MUA Luxe Bronze and Sculpt Contour Kit:
- No applicator.
- Fall out with the contour powder.
- Not the correct tone of highlight for darker skin (choose the darker toned kit they offer).
No concealer, no foundation or powder. See how well it catches the light.
Would I Recommend MUA Luxe Bronze and Sculpt Contour Kit?
Yes, I do recommend this contour kit, it will last ages and this is probably the only contour and highlight you will need in your kit, for brow bone and for the face. This will save you from buying too many single highlight and contour powders.
