MUA Luxe Chichi Whipped Velvet Blush Review

Hello sweeties,

I recently reviewed a blush from Maybelline Jelly Glow range here.  Well, that was a true disappointment, but after that heartbreak, I have a better blush for you guys! Summer is all about peaches and corals. Pinks are universally appealing, but corals look equally beautiful. I got a cream blush from MUA Luxe as cream blushes fortunately last more than the powdered ones on oily skin. Read more to know about this coral cutie.

My Experience with MUA Luxe Chichi Whipped Velvet Blush:

I really don’t know why I did not come across these blushes earlier? They are amazingly cute and awesome. If you haven’t come across this yet, let me take you through the tour. These bushes belong to the “Luxe Whipped Velvet” range. As far as I know, the range has blushes and lip creams.  This blush comes in a small cylindrical pan with a black packaging. The upper portion is see-through, so the shade is easily visible.

The consistency is like a whipped mousse which is extremely soft and silky. I think the name is very correct, it actually feels like velvet when touched. The texture is such that it’s best to apply the blush with fingertips for a good finish. Coming to the shade, I had many pinks in my stash, so I picked a coral one. The shade is a peachy coral with slight orange-y hint. The shade looks very fresh and I would totally recommend it for spring and summer.

The shade looks a tad bit dark and bright in the pan, but actually when you start blending it on the skin, you will get to know that the shade isn’t that bright. The blush turns into a creamy texture as soon as I apply it on my cheekbones. The colour is very much buildable, hence the tip would be to go slow and keep blending till you get the pigmentation you want.

It does show up on the skin in 2-3 swipes. It gives a nice coral flush to the cheeks which looks absolutely romantic and pretty. I loved how natural it looks. It made my cheeks glow in a very nice way. It has micro shimmers which are visible only on the fingers, but when applied on the cheeks, the shimmers impart a glow-y finish. The blush stayed on my cheeks for around 3 hours and then started to fade a bit. It was totally gone by 4 hours.

I wish it stayed a little bit longer than this, but the trick is to use it with a primer. When I used it with the primer, it stayed on for 4-4-1/2 hours. Hence I feel it was a good deal at that price and I love wearing this totally!

IMBB Rating:
4.2/5

Conclusion:
In case you would like to try this, go for darker and brighter shades since the range has a few light shades which won’t even show up on the skin and also you have to remember that cream blushes do not show up as bright as in the pan.
