My Experience with MUA Luxe Chichi Whipped Velvet Lip Cream:

The lip color comes in a clear plastic tube with a black cap. The packaging is very common, nothing impressive. It has a nice long applicator. The applicator is smooth, soft and easy to use. A good amount of product comes with the applicator, at once. Overall, this is a nice travel friendly packaging.

MUA Luxe Chichi Whipped Velvet Lip Cream contains nice candy or vanilla kind of a smell. I love vanilla but honestly, I do not like this particular smell that much. But, it is totally my personal choice, you might like this smell. It is not overpowering, still it feels little strong and odd smell to me. The smell stay for a good period of time.

MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Lip Cream comes in five shades. I have the shade ‘Chichi’. The name of this shade sounds funny. This is a beautiful peachy orangey shade. The shade is very pretty. In the tube, it looks like a bright orange but the color orange does not show on the lips. It looks more like a peach shade on the lips. The shade is suitable to almost all skin tone. This is a neutral shade. It goes with all kind of outfit and any kind of makeup. It is best to be used with a bold eye make. I generally like this kind of a shade on a daily basis.

MUA Luxe Chichi Whipped Velvet Lip Cream has a creamy texture. This is a silky and moisturizing lip cream. I never felt any dryness after application. This absolutely feels velvety. It does not look shinny or glossy. It has a soft finish. I like its texture but due to its super creamy texture, it transfers easily. It glides smoothly on lips and never feels sticky at all.

The pigmentation of this lip cream is average in quality. I feel it a bit difficult to get the exact color. One swipe gives a very light shade. I need lot of swipes to get the color. Also, the shade does not look that proper on the lips. It becomes more like a light peachy shade on lips. It also can not cover the uneven texture of the lips. I feel after few hours, it crease and it forms a separate line or color on my lip lines. It looks odd.

Staying power of this lip cream is also average. It stayed on my lips for around 2-3 hours maximum, then it starts to fade. It does not totally disappear but after few hours it leaves a slight color on my lips. It fades with meals and leaves a sheer peach shade behind it. It also settle in fine lines after few hours. If I wore it to a party, then I would need to reapply it again. I had applied it with a peach lip liner and after few hours, my lip liner stayed perfectly on my lips but the lip cream faded. I looked as if that I had only wore a lip liner. Also, the excess layering does not make a lot of difference in the shade. It looks just as it is. I generally prefer a long lasting lip color. But, for me this one was not good enough.

MUA Luxe Chichi Whipped Velvet Lip Cream 7

Overall, I just love this shade. It is such a beautiful peach shade that suits on me. But, I am not totally happy with the quality. It is an average lip cream. I would expect more pigmented shade and a longer staying power. This is actually not worth a buy at Rs. 695. I got it on a discount still I am not happy. It is actually over priced according to its quality.

Would I Repurchase/ Recommend MUA Luxe Chichi Whipped Velvet Lip Cream?
It will last long. I like this shade so much but I am disappointed with the overall quality. For me this is not a product that needs to be repurchased. This is a good shade and also feels soft on lips. Still, I would say that if you like long lasting shade with a good pigmentation then skip this one.

  1. TY for the heads up Chayanti. I was this close to buying it. Was highly uncertain about the color, with the cons stated, and the much awaited review is finally, no, not buying it but the corals suit you…:)
