I picked up a few shades from MUA Luxe Metallic Liquid Lipstick range and here is the review on the shade “Luster”. Read on to know how this worked for me.

My Experience with MUA Luxe Luster Metallic Liquid Lipstick:
The packaging of the lipstick is pretty gorgeous. The lipstick comes in a rectangular tube, which looks more like a glass tube. The tube has metallic grey screw-on cap, which fits securely and ensures that the packaging stays leak-proof. This tiny tube can be easily accommodated in your small clutch. The applicator wand is pretty long and the slant tip applicator works amazingly to create a perfect pout. The shade name is mentioned at the base of the tube. Overall, the packaging of the lipstick is simple, sleek, sturdy and travel friendly.
The lipstick has a very strong fragrance, which might be bothering for some. Although most of the nude shades wash me out badly, still, I keep trying newer ones to get the perfect nude shade for my skin tone. Hence, I picked this shade “Luster” from MUA Luxe Metallic Liquid Lipstick. The shade Luster is a shimmery beige shade. It is actually silver based nude shade. Though the color does not wash me out, but being too silvery, it looks horrible on the lips. So I dab a little on the lips and then I even out the finish with the brush. Layering makes my lips look too silvery and I hate that gaudy look. It is very metallic and looks chunky on the lips. My lips look weird with this lipstick. Such type of shade will not suit any Asian skin tones. It will surely go well with fair and cool skin tones. Overall, this is not a shade for us.
The consistency of the lipstick is neither too thick nor runny. It has the right consistency, which glides smoothly on the lips. One swipe gives too much silver color to the lips. So it is better to dab a very little product on the lips and even it out using your lip brush. The pigmentation is good otherwise; it will give opaque coverage to the lips. The finish is very glossy and sets to a creamy finish. The creamy formula leads to the transferring of the product. The formula is light and comfortable. It is absolutely non-sticky.
The lipstick is moisturizing and does not dry out the lips. The lipstick lasts for about 4 hours with its sheer finish. But its shimmers look chunky when left behind. Overall, this shade is quite unflattering for our skin tones.

• Once the lipstick loses its intensity, the shimmers are left behind.
• Shimmers look too chunky.
