After a break, I am back with a review. Today’s review is all about MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in shade Criminal. Read on to know how it fared.

My Experience with MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer – Criminal:

The lip colour comes in a matte finish black-coloured cardboard packaging. This outer packaging has all the details about the product written at its back. The lip lacquer tube is frosted. The tube has a matte black-coloured cap. The cap has the brand name written in gold, which looks beautiful. The packaging is sleek, elegant and travel friendly. The screw on cap of this lip lacquer has a typical doe-foot applicator. The applicator is soft. The applicator wand is neither too long nor too short. It picks up a good amount of lip colour that is required for one application.

Criminal is a bright fuchsia pink shade. It is amazingly pigmented. Just one swipe is good enough to get perfect opaque finish. So, it will hide those pigmented lips perfectly. This shade will flatter very fair skin tones well. The shade is just perfect for summers but only if you are ready to go out of your comfort zone as it is a neon kind of shade. The texture of the lip colour is soft and light.

It glides so smoothly on the lips. But prepping your lips is advisable for such matte lip colours. The lip colour is easy to apply with the applicator provided. But it takes really long to set the lip lacquer properly. It feels a little sticky when it is freshly applied, but it is all set once it is dried.

The lip colour does not feel drying. It gives that beautiful matte finish to the lips. It keeps my lips moisturized for really long which is not the case with most of the matte lippies. The lip lacquer is totally smudge proof and transfer proof. The lip lacquer is waterproof also, so it survives drinking and light snacks without any fading or chipping. But having oily food makes it patchy and it chips away badly.

The lasting power of these lip lacquers is around 5-6 hours. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of these lip lacquers.
