I am back with another review! I finally got myself MUA palettes. I have heard so much about them that I got tempted to pick up two. The first one I got is this ‘Winter Forest Palette’. This palette has 10 shades in total. The other one which I bought is the ’12 Shades Undressed Palette’, which I will be reviewing soon. If you want to know about my experience with this Winter Forest one, then keep on reading.

My Experience with MUA Matte Collection Winter Forest Palette:
The thing that attracted me the most towards this matte palette is the colour selection. I love each and every colour in the palette. Apart from colours, the texture of these eyeshadows is astonishing. These shadows are so buttery and soft that I kept on swatching them on my arms. 😛
I am so happy that I came across this brand as I have spotted some amazing makeup products on their website. I love this palette and it is worth every penny spent. I think the palette is from their new collection, but I would suggest that you grab it before it’s gone; it’s not limited edition though. The only thing that ticked me off was the lighter shades. If you see in the swatch pictures, you can see that the light colours hardly have any pigmentation.
Besides that, few of these colours do have glitter particles. So this palette is not completely matte which is bad because I wanted a proper matte palette. Also, the colours are a little chalky, but not too much, so I don’t have issues with the chalkiness. Besides these issues, I have no problems with this incredible palette. The time I was experimenting with it, the first thing I loved about it was that the shades blend effortlessly and you have to take very little product.
These shadows are crazily pigmented, girls. Be a little careful when using the darker shades especially. The surprising thing was that the eyeshadows stayed on my oily eyelids for 5 hours without any primer. They did not move or transfer at all. This palette is perfect for any simple eye look or a smoky eye look too. I love the shade Midnight (Dark blue) the most because it is creamy and very pigmented. Overall, I think this palette is totally worth it!
Pros of MUA Matte Collection Winter Forest Palette:
• Soft and creamy texture
• Good pigmentation
• Good product quantity
• Travel friendly
• Shadows stay on for 5 hours (without primer)
• Versatile shade selection
• Blends well
Cons of MUA Matte Collection Winter Forest Palette:
• Contains Parabens
• A little chalky
• Not all the shades are matte
• Brush is useless
• Lighter shades are not highly pigmented
• No mirror
Would I Repurchase/Recommend MUA Matte Collection Winter Forest Palette?
I would not repurchase it because I know this will not get over, plus I want to try other palettes too. But if you want a nice, pigmented, versatile and affordable palette, this one should be a part of your collection.
