Hello Beautiful Ladies,
Today I will be writing about an eye product from the brand MUA. MUA is a very famous drugstore brand in UK and is very affordable too, but unfortunately in India, it is not so affordable. The product that I will be showing you today is one of their single eye shadows and the shade I have is shade No. 16. MUA has single eye shadows in 2 categories: matte and pearl, I have one of each kind. Shade No 16 is one of their matte eye shadows and this is the first one I have from MUA.
Get a long lasting tint of colour with this smooth ‘Matte Shade 16’ eye shadow for women from the house of MUA Makeup Academy. This smooth eye shadow will last for longer hours without smudging. A must-have in your make-up kit!
Product quantity and Price:
INR 615 for 2 g.
In UK, the shadow retails for £1.00, which is way too affordable as compared to its price in India. I brought this shadow online for a discount of almost 40%
These single shadows are packed in a very simple flip open packaging with a round pan. The lid of the packaging is transparent making it easier to recognize the colour from the top. The packaging is simple and sturdy and there is nothing fancy about it.
My experience with MUA Matte Eye Shadow, Shade 16:
Colour: Shade No. 16 seems to be a very beautiful matte peach in the pan, but when actually used on the lids, it seems to be the lightest shade of pinky peach, which might be confused with a pearly white when seen from far. The colour is easy to wear on daily basis, when you want to have a no makeup look and want to hide the discolouration on the lids. The colour might seem peachy in the pan, but it acts as a good highlight,t which actually looks very natural. As the colour is matte and very natural looking, it can also be used as a blending colour.
Pigmentation: The colour comes out to be very light on the lids when blended, but fortunately is decently pigmented which make just 2 swipes sufficient.
Texture: The shadow is extremely smooth to apply and gives a little fallout with a brush, if not used carefully. The colour might seem chalky in the first swipe, but after second swipe and proper blending, it helps to highlight the applied area without being chalky.
Staying power: The colour of the shadow is very light which makes it almost invisible after few hours, but the colour does not crease on the lids even after hours. Though the colour cannot be seen after 2-3 hours, the brightness it creates remains on the lids for some more time.
Overall, shade No. 16 is a good multitasking colour that can instantly brighten up the applied areas. It has a good texture and is easy to blend too, but the amount of product we get compared to the price we would have to pay for it, will make me think twice before buying it again.
