Product Description: Everything from nudes to bolds, MUA’s matte lipsticks are available in 5 wearable shades that glide smoothly over lips to give a beautiful non-glossy finish.
Totally nude color glides over lips to give a soft matte finish.
Actually these Lipsticks are available in 7 shades, Fawn Fancy, Lilac Belle, Scarlet Siren, Peachy Keen, Wild berry, Pouty Pink, Totally Nude.
Wild Berry has been already reviewed, after totally nude Scarlet siren will be coming soon.
Price: £ 1 .
Packaging: The MUA matte lipstick comes in a shiny white plastic case and silver detailing in it. Although, it looks chic & pretty, but I don’t find it to be very sturdy and classy. The cap is not very tight, it comes off very easily. The matte range too have the same packaging as the creamy lipsticks, they too have a detachable small pot of usable lipstick in it.
My Take on MUA Matte Lipstick in Totally Nude
Color, Texture & Pigmentation: “Totally Nude” is a Peachy beige nude shade. This shade is very light beige with peach undertones to it, this nude will wash out wheatish or dark skin complexions, but will beautifully suit fair to medium complexions. It’s a perfect matte n*de shade for lighter complexions.
The lipstick has a slightly hard texture to it, because it’s a matte finish lipstick, it has the perfect texture as a matte lipstick, and they do glide easily on lips. When applied, the lipstick has a waxy texture to it, though the waxy feeling doesn’t weigh down the lips, but it helps retain the moisture on lips, and gives us the needed moisturization we need wearing a matte lipstick, despite being on the the matte side, it doesn’t accentuate dry lips, neither settles in the fine lines of lips.
I have read certain reviews about this lipstick, and everyone complains about the pigmentation of this shade, but I wouldn’t complain about the pigmentation of this lipstick, the reason is the light n*de shade of lipstick, which easily camouflages with our skin tone. On lips, it imparts the enough color in 1-2 swipe, needed for decent coverage. The color is easily buildable and can be layered as per requirement. It doesn’t become cakey on layering, as some matte lipstick does.
Staying Power: The matte & waxy texture of the lipstick helps it to stay longer on lips, it stays put on me for a good 4 – 5.5 plus hours easily, with eating and drinking (I had my dinner wearing it and it was still there without fading). It didn’t transfer completely onto anything. As long as it stayed on lips, my lips didn’t feel the dryness or urge to apply lip balm, it provide enough moisturization as long I wore it on. I agree, that the lipstick doesn’t emphasize flaws of lips, but “Totally Nude” being a very lighter kind of shade, needs nicely prepped exfoliated lips. So, don’t forget to exfoliate your lips nicely, before applying it, else will it gives a patchy, flaky kind of look. One thing I hated of this lipstick is it kinds of fades very unevenly and patchy..

In the lips swatches I had wear the lipstick alone, and with Colorbar Lip liner pencil in Nude Pink and also topped it with a gloss from Lord & Berry lip gloss in Pink Flower.

Recommendation/ Re-purchase on MUA Matte Lipstick Totally Nude
Yes, I’ll surely recommend this shade to all fair & cool toned beauties, as it’ll suit them, darker skin tones can skip this shade. But opt for the other shades in this range. I liked it but I am done with this n*de shade, I’ll not buy another one of this.
