MUA Matte Lipstick – Wild Berry Review

MUA Matte Lipstick – Wild Berry

Hello and Bonjour every beautiful soul out there!

My first lipstick from MUA was MUA Lipstick Juicy, which lifted my faith in MUA lipsticks because the shade didn’t suit me at all. But like the basic principle of humanity, every product deserves the second chance; so I picked up one from the matte range finally. Let’s read out if it impressed me or not.

Product Description: Everything from nudes to bolds, MUA’s matte lipsticks are available in 5 wearable shades that glide smoothly over lips to give a beautiful non-glossy finish. Bold berry colour glides over lips to give a soft matte-satin finish.
Available in 06 shades!

My take on MUA Matte Lipstick – Wild Berry:

Packaging: The Packaging is simple; except the screw pot containing some extra amount of lipstick at the bottom which can be used with a brush. The packaging is not ugly at all for a drugstore brand. It is sturdy and travel friendly.

Texture and finish: These lipsticks are neither moisturizing nor drying; the texture is acceptable for every type of lips. Not creamy, but the lipstick has a smooth and non-gritty texture, which finishes in truly matte finish. Being matte, I was scared it will be extremely drying on lips but after using the product, my opinion is vice versa. It has a sweet berry fragrance which lasts for not more than 15-20 minutes.

Colour and pigmentation: Before making the purchase, I checked reviews on the web because if you buy a wrong product, then you are in trouble no matter even if it is affordable.

The shade looked scary in the bullet; but when swatched, it is pretty subtle berry color. The pigmentation is such that multiple swipes will build the color on lips, as you can see in my lip swatch.

Longevity and transferability: This lipstick is not very transferrable. Longevity is 4 hours approx with water/tea intake. It fades with meals. But overall fading is slightly uneven with no stain on lips. Application is neat without bleeding. The lipstick doesn’t feathers nor settles into lip lines.

MUA Matte Lipstick - WildBerry

Pros of MUA Matte Lipstick – Wild Berry:

• Pretty berry shade with matte finish.
• Smooth & non-gritty texture.
• Not at all drying on lips despite being a matte lipstick.
• Easy on pocket.
• Buildable opacity.
• Does not bleed or feathers.
• Doesn’t settle into lines.
• Sweet fragrance.
• Decent longevity surviving water intake.
• Doesn’t transfer weirdly on mugs/goblets.
• Travel friendly packaging.

Cons of MUA Matte Lipstick – Wild Berry:

• Fades with a meal.
• Uneven fading with no leftover lip stain.
• Availability.

Rating: 4.5/5

Recommendation and repurchase: I really like the qualities of such a low price tag lipstick. People living in UK can get it for £1 only! But this is not my kind of shade, too dark for me. So I will not repurchase this particular shade but you can experiment this or other shades from the range, they are worth spending bucks on! Have a nice shining day.

                1. And Sumera means Princess too 😀 well princey, MUA has an official retailer in Pakistan who refills the stock every 6 months and it is hard to grab the products then. This time, i placed an order directly with MUA through their website. they deliver for $12.5 to Pakistan/India. Also, they have free shipping and £1 shipping promotions once a year….so that is far more convenient for me 🙂
