My Take on MUA Merged Trio Eyeshadow in Emotions

Shade, Texture & Pigmentation: I have numbered the shadows so it’ll be easy to explain the shades. First one is a highlighting shade which appears creamy white with slight merging lines of bronze in the pot, but after blending it’s actually a golden color, with medium-sized shimmers in it. The three of the shades have chunky shimmers in them, but they aren’t gritty at all. The second shade is a mauvish brown shade with golden merging lines in it. The third one is a bronze gold shade with merging lines of some white glitters; golden and brown can be seen in it. The merging of golden and bronze lines and the shimmers adds a sheen & sparkle to these shadows. But the shimmers can get quite messy while applying on eyes, there can be a lot of fall out and you end up getting the shimmers on your under eyes area. Many of us may not like the shimmers in it. But the shades are perfect for everyday wear for offices and shopping, they add a warm glow to face. You can put the shades together to get a bronze or natural shimmery look for daytime, and a smoky eye look for the evenings.

Though the shadows are shimmery, but they have a very smooth and pearly texture. They glide easily on eyes, using any kind of applicator and transfer the color easily on eyes. The shadows are easily blendable.

The color pay- off of these shadows is awesome, they can be used wet and dry. Though when used in wet form the intensity of the color increases, but the pigmentation of the dry form is also great. One swipe of the shadows gives decent color pay- off, but I found the second shade to have medium to buildable pigmentation when used dry. It’s not more intense as the bronze gold and golden white shade.

Staying Power: The shadows stay puts on me for 3-4 easily, a little bit of fading after 2 hours can be noticed without a primer base. And with wearing over a primer it can stays up to 5-6 hours. Touching or rubbing eyes frequently can fade the color.

Cons of MUA Merged Trio Eyeshadow in Emotions

The shimmer fall out is too much during application.
Vigorously touching your eyes can take the color from your eyes in one go.
If you don’t like shimmer, you won’t prefer the trio.
Availability in India.
Staying power could have been better (we greedy girls!).

Recommendation/ Repurchase: Yes for everyone, only if you don’t like shimmers, you can skip this. The eyeshadow trio does worth a try. I already have two shades.
