I have completely drowned in the highlighter collection phase because the first time I tried a highlighter, I was amazed to see the results! I was amazed to see how it instantly added a dash of glow to my skin and changed the entire look. Now, this one is a new highlighter from MUA called “Opalescent Amber”. There is this entire craze around for the stunning colour, rose gold, which lured me towards this product. So let’s see how this worked for me!

My Experience with MUA Opalescent Amber Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder:

Packaging: The highlighter comes in a white compact pan with a transparent lid. The pan closes nicely with a click, so no worries of the pan opening in any case. The highlighter is very travel-friendly and can be easily carried in vanity or clutch for an instant glow. It has a very beautiful wave pattern embossed over which looks more classy and unique than the other highlighters. The price is just amazing because they do offer great quality and quantity.

Shade, pigmentation, and texture: I find this highlighter shade to be very unique and the beautiful rose gold shade totally pulled me towards it. It has a lot of pink hints which give a very fresh glow to the face and in fact makes my skin look healthy. This shade will complement fair to medium skin tones beautifully but it might wash out the dusky skin-tone.

So the dusky beauties can opt for the golden variant of this highlighter. The pigmentation is beautiful as I can see the colour on my cheeks in the very first swipe but I swipe it 2-3 times to make it look even intense. The texture is very soft and does not look powdery at all. The powder is very finely milled and goes super smooth on the skin.

Look on the skin and staying power: The highlighter adds a cute rose gold flush to my cheeks. It looks very natural on my skin and does not look made up at all. I have to be careful while applying it because it looks too pink if applied in excess. It adds an instant glow to my face which takes away all the dullness and my skin looks super healthy and amazing especially in the yellow light.

It looks great in pictures too. The highlighter stays on my skin over my foundation for 5-6 hours and would stay even more when topped over a good primer. I am very happy with the results and surely recommend the MUA highlighters to all.

Yes, I will surely have this on my list whenever I run out of it; but, as of now, I have a lot of highlighters to finish. Totally recommend if you want a pinkish glow for your skin.
