MUA Pearl Eyeshadow – Shade 15 Review

I am back again with another MUA product review for you all, I just can’t have enough of this brand. There are goods and bad with every brand, but however, MUA manages to pull us towards its products.  Let’s find out more about this shade.

Product Details:

Single eyeshadows that are super high pigmented, smooth and easy to apply are the must-have item from MUA. They’re the barga-licious price of just £1 each and they come in 34 amazing shades from brights to natural colors. Create a dramatic look with three or four in one look, or simply sweep one across the eye for a wash of colour.

This eyeshadow comes in a cute, small, round pot with a transparent cap to detect the shade easily, if you have many of these.  It’s very pocket friendly, but we get enough of the product for the price. I wish they had provided a small detachable sponge applicator for touch ups.

My Experience with MUA Pearl Eyeshadow – Shade 15:

Shade, Texture and Pigmentation:  Shade 15 is a charcoal black shade. It looks more of a gray color in the pan, with very minuscule silver shimmers in it. It’s perfect to create a smoky eye look and for defining eyes. It’s not a jet black shadow, it becomes somewhat like an ebony or dark gray color after blending, and won’t look gaudy on anyone, a good black shadow for freshers.

The texture of these eyeshadows are really soft and smooth, rather this one looks more matte on the pan and also when you pick it up on your fingers, but yet gives pearly smooth finish. It blends effortlessly and gives pearly finish on the eyes. Because the texture is so, there will be no fall out of the excess color.

The eyeshadow is very decently pigmented, also it’s a dark color, so the color pay off is amazing in one swipe, without a primer base also. It can be built up for more intense color. In my case, I just need to swirl my eyeshadow brush twice in the pan and I am done.

Staying Power:  The shadow stayed on me for 3- 3.5 hours, mild fading of the color can be noticed in the last hours. It didn’t crease on me, but on oily lids, there are chances that it would spread and crease.  I would suggest not to use an oil-based primer with this shadow and prep your nicely. Otherwise, it would spread in all over your lids.

Pros of MUA Pearl Eyeshadow – Shade 15:

• A very nice dark grayish black shade.
• Texture is very smooth and soft, not at all chalky.
• The shadow glides and blends very easily on eyelids.
• No fall out during application.
• The finish is very pearly.
• Very decently pigmented.
• Packaging is handy and sturdy too.
• Color pay off is also good.
• Staying power is good, up to 3 hours.

Cons of MUA Pearl Eyeshadow – Shade 15:

• It better not to wear this shadow over an oil-based primer, there are chances of it to spread over the crease area.

Would I Recommend MUA Pearl Eyeshadow – Shade 15?

Yes, it’s a nice single black eyeshadow to have. You can try this once; it’s a nice soft textured, pearly finish eyeshadow, which would last long. The price is also affordable, but I won’t suggest this pearly textured creamy powder shadow to oily lids.

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5, I marked it less because it spreads and creases on an oily base/lids.
