My Experience with MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Correcting Cream Peach:

I have never suffered from major skin problems like acne, hyper pigmentation or sensitive skin, but I have dark circles which I always worried about. I have used many eye creams which claim to brighten undereye area but none of them I have found effective. So a concealer for hiding dark circles is my best friend. NARS creamy radiant concealer in shade ginger is my go-to concealer; I liked it so much, but it is expensive and not easily available in India. I have heard a lot about correctors, which is an extra step to hide certain imperfection. After searching, reading blogs and watching videos, I came to know that peachy-orangey correctors are very good in hiding very dark purplish-bluish dark circle for warmer skin tones. If we use skin color concealer directly over heavy dark circle, it might make the undereye area look ashy. First, we need to use some corrector to neutralize the darkness and thereafter our concealer so that it hides darkness and looks natural.

Packaging: It comes in sturdy, transparent packaging with a transparent lid. The lid catches scratches very easily and turns dirty very soon. The lid closes tight with a click sound.

Consistency: The corrector is very soft and creamy textured but not oily/greasy. It blends easily with fingers or beauty blender sponge with no tugging or pulling. It has a very good formula to even work for dry undereye area.

Shade: It is a light peachy shade, and has enough of warmth to work well with warm skin tones. It works well with light-medium dark circles, but if you have heavy dark circles, this is not for you. For those I think a more orangey/peachy corrector will be perfect.

Application: After applying undereye cream, I apply this corrector with my finger. I rub the product between fingers, as the warmth of fingers makes the product easy to blend. I apply the product with tapping motion and it blends easily, after which I apply my NARS concealer and set it with some setting powder. It does not crease or make my fine lines more prominent; but setting it with a powder is must, as it is creamy and might crease. Correctors are not meant to be used alone. Skin color concealers are must after application of a corrector. I once applied this corrector + concealer combo under one eye and Nars concealer alone under another; I find that both look same, but when I use other light coverage or my regular concealer with this corrector, it really makes a huge difference. So if you use a medium to full coverage concealer like NARS, you don’t require this extra step. So when I use NARS concealer, I don’t apply this corrector.

Staying power: I always use my NARS concealer over this corrector and it doesn’t crease for 6-8 hours. If used alone, I find it starts creasing within 2 hours even after setting. When I use some other drugstore concealer over it, the creasing starts early. So I think a good concealer is a must over it to last long.

Would I Recommend MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Correcting Cream Peach?
I will suggest this if someone wants to try a peachy corrector for heavy dark circles and if you want to use your regular concealer over it, this really makes huge difference. If you are the one who invests in good full coverage concealers, you can miss it.

Would I Repurchase MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Correcting Cream Peach?
Next time I want to try some good high-end corrector like Bobbi Brown, which has many shades, so no repurchase for me.
