I am back again with a new review! Today, I am going to write about Make Up Academy’s single eye shadow. The shade is # 25 and it is from the Pearl collection.I have always tried brown eyeshadows, but for a change I wanted to try this pink one. This is my first eyeshadow from this brand and it turned out more of a maroon on the eyes.
Single eyeshadows that are super high pigmented, smooth and easy to apply are the must-have item from MUA. They’re the barga-licious price of just £1 each and they come in 34 amazing shades from brights to natural colours. Create a dramatic look with three or four in one look, or simply sweep one across the eye for a wash of color.
Omg, we just love these eyeshadows! You could even use some of them as blushers! The looks you could create are endless… go on, collect them all!
Karla Powell, our head of Makeup Artistry says her favourites are Shades 1, 9 and 27 – she can’t get enough of them!
Rs. 615 for 2 GMS with a shelf life of 3 Years.
The shadow comes in a round pot with transparent lid with the brand name printed beautifully in black on the lid. The ingredients and shade number is written on the back. The packaging is quite sleek and sturdy at the same time. The lid gets locks nicely making it good for travelling as well. However, it lacks an applicator , which makes it less travel-friendly, unless you are carrying your own brush.
My Experience with MUA Shade 25 Single Pearl Eyeshadow :
Color and Pigmentation: As I already mentioned, this is a shade of mauve with pink undertones to it, giving it a more maroon-ish color on the eyes. It contains minute shimmer particles, which gives it a subtle shine. It is nicely pigmented. One coat gives a nice color. However, it can easily be build up according to the occasion. It does not get cakey/ crease-y after sometime. However, it makes my eyelids a little oily by the end of the day.
Texture: The texture is smooth and easily blendable. It is neither too powdery, nor too creamy, so fallout doesn’t happen during application. The only drawback is that the brush does not hold the shadow nicely, I prefer applying it with my fingertips. This makes it easy to maneuver the color according to my need.
Staying Power: The staying power is good. It lasts for approximately 5-6 hours without a primer and 7-8 hours with a primer. It does not require reapplication. The color slightly starts to fade away after 5-6 hours but still is quite visible and needs a makeup remover to get it off completely at the end of the day.
Pros of MUA Shade 25 Single Pearl Eyeshadow :
• Beautiful color
• Slight shimmer, not too jazzy
• Sturdy packaging
• Feels light on the eyes
• No fallout
• No creasing
• Decent pigmentation and easily blends
• Good staying power
Cons of MUA Shade 25 Single Pearl Eyeshadow :
• Not very travel friendly because of missing applicator.
• Only available online in India.
• Leaves some oil after long hours making the eyelids oily.
Would I repurchase MUA Shade 25 Single Pearl Eyeshadow ?
