MUA Shade 3 Mascara Review

This is the first time I got a coloured mascara. It is from the brand MUA. Read on to know my experiences with this mascara.

Product Description:
A make up must have – colored mascara, which is available in a number of eye-catching shades to create a striking effect. Long lasting and can be used alone, or as a highlight to the end of lashes on top of your normal shade.

Directions to Use:
To achieve your desired look; apply the mascara to upper lashes first. Then take the brush, holding it underneath the top lashes, close to the roots and sweep the brush upwards from root to tip. To build the desired volume, add a few mascara coats. For the bottom lashes, use the tip of the brush to apply a thin layer of mascara in delicate strokes.

My Experience with MUA Shade 3 Mascara:

The mascara comes in a long tube. The tube is of the same colour as the mascara, and it has a black screw cap. This colour coded tube helps in identification of the shade. The MUA logo is embossed in silver on the tube. The applicator is long & good. Overall, the packaging is ordinary and there is nothing fancy about it. The mascara is turquoise blue in colour. The colour shows up very well on the eyelashes.

The shade is beautiful and looks nice. The mascara is slightly thick and creamy in consistency. The formula is not so watery. Coloured mascaras are especially designed to highlight the tips of the eyelashes. Hence, this mascara does not help much in curling and enhancing the volume of the eyelashes. But that is ok, I did not expect it to do so. The mascara does not clump the lashes at all. Hence, it is totally clump-free and smudge-proof.

The mascara is not flaky either. However, these coloured mascaras from MUA are not waterproof at all. They come off very easily with water. The staying power of this mascara is great. It stays on for 5-6 hours. Overall, this is a nice coloured mascara.
