I admit I have the shakiest hands on Earth no matter whether I am working in the kitchen or handling any item, but when it comes to liquid eyeliners, it is such a chore that leaves me shaking in my boots! Their brush applicators make my strokes a quivering mess, a line that is no way even near to precise. That is the reason I thankfully settle with felt tip pen eyeliners no matter whatever the occasion is, though I found some hard tip liquid eyeliners but the results were not impressive. So, when I was going ahead with MUA haul, I added this one to my cart just for practice purpose. Let’s see is it worth buying or a skip!
Black waterproof liquid eye liner. Water resistant, quick and precise to apply. Goes on effortlessly. Applies with its own brush to draw a defined line.

My Views on MUA Waterproof Eyeliner in Black:
MUA waterproof eyeliner comes in a plastic, black eyeliner bottle with screw cap (which holds the brush). The cap is very tight literally, lots of force is required to open it, but this makes it sturdy enough. The wand is a little slanted pointed tip applicator. Application wise, the brush is stiff yet flexible when using. You can build the precision and thickness of the line by varying the pressure and angle of application. The bottle’s squeegee exit squeezes all excess liquid out of the brush, reducing drip and the chance of messing up the liner when applying.
The eyeliner is jet black and well pigmented. It dries to a satin finish but requires more than one coat to give it a very opaque look. Due to the thin applicator, one can easily go till the corner of the eye and apply the liner or create winged eyeliner or cat-eye looks with dainty pointed tip.
The liquid consistency is a bit on the runny side which I do not prefer, since it is difficult to control the liner. It is fast drying which is a plus, may be because of the precise lines it creates.
The eyeliner is not 100% water proof. It would not budge if you splash water on your eyes, but yes, if you rub the wet liner, then it would easily rub off, but then removing it off is quite easy. The lines really don’t smudge once they are dry, neither do they crack. I have a habit of rubbing my eyes throughout the day, so there is where the problem lies; else the staying power is great.
Pros of MUA Waterproof Eyeliner in Black:
- Jet black colour and waterproof.
- Quick drying and stays long enough.
- Doesn’t smudge, budge or crack.
- Good for varying line thickness.
- Easy to remove.
- Doesn’t make a hole in bank account.
Cons of MUA Waterproof Eyeliner in Black:
- Except for availability, there is no drawback to this eyeliner, especially at this price tag.
Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase MUA Waterproof Eyeliner in Black?
Yes, I recommend it to all those who have access to MUA products and a very expert and precise hand for liquid eyeliner application
For me, liquid eyeliners are still a big no-no, the reason I am not including an eye-look is the same that I create a zigzag road over my upper eyelid with liquid eyeliners! I just can’t settle with their applicators and I will stay with my felt tip pens with an ambition to try my hands on gel liner very soon.
