I was inspired to choose the Murad Refreshing Cleanser out of the sponsored product list due to the previous product I had chosen which was the Murad C-Daily Renewal Complex Moisturizer. These both are part of a skin care regime and the Murad cleanser is the first one in the skin care regime.

What it is?

A non-drying, foaming cleanser that’s rich in soothing, softening extracts of cucumber, Hawaiian white ginger, and algae.

What it is formulated to do:

Refreshing Cleanser is a non-drying formula that soothes skin by washing away excess surface oil, makeup, and impurities. Hawaiian white ginger root extract hydrates skin to improve suppleness while cucumber extract soothes and refreshes. Algae extract hydrates, soothes, and firms, restoring skin’s softness. Refreshing Cleanser is recommended as a step one cleanser in any Murad Age Reform regimen, and has been formulated for use as part of Dr. Murad’s Inclusive Health system of care.

Directions For Use:

• Massage a small amount over dampened face and neck.

Packaging and Product:

Murad Refreshing Cleanser comes in a white 6.75 oz. bottle. It is a plastic bottle with a flip open cap which you have to squeeze in order to get the product out. The product is a creamy white formula which does not foam when applying. The formula is slightly runny, but nothing to be too bothered about.

My Experience with Murad Age Reform Refreshing Cleanser:

To start off, I have normal to dry and sensitive skin, mostly it depends on the weather. My skin tends to get drier in the fall and winter season.  This product is very creamy and smells very good. It has the refreshing but mild scent of cucumbers. What I really like is that the smell is very decent and it isn’t overwhelming like a lot of other cucumber-scented cleansers. The product claims to remove oils, makeup, and dirt from the skin and it does just that. It removes almost all my makeup and other such things from my face, but removing waterproof eyeliner and mascara is always a challenge. I don’t look at that as a con because it nowhere claims to remove “waterproof makeup.” Aside from that, it also claims to soften and refresh skin.

After using this product for just two days, I can honestly say that it makes such a big difference. I use this with the Murad Daily Renewal Complex Moisturizer and together it makes my skin so soft and supple. I have been using this product for over a month and ever since then, every time I use it, I can definitely see the difference from how my skin first was and how it is now. This product also has “Age Reform” ingredients in this which is good for my skin in the long run, to protect from wrinkles and fine lines. It lifts my skin and makes my dull skin brighten up. It does not dry up my skin like most cleansers and face washes have in the past. My skin is now constantly hydrated and it has removed the small patches of dry skin on my cheeks.

I use this product with the Murad moisturizer and after using this for over a month, I can honestly say that my skin has become firm and well hydrated. The only two downsides to this product is that it does not foam too much, therefore I have to use more product than I usually would to wash my entire face. If it was foamy the product would transfer and lather better on my face for a much better wash with less product.

The second con is a very minor problem but the packaging is inconvenient for me. I wish it had a different packaging, for instance, a pump for easy dispensing of the product so I could have a better wash without worrying about taking out too much product and without the hassle of actually opening and closing it. Other than that, I have no other complaint and I am so happy with my purchase. My favorite thing about this product is that it contains such interesting ingredients such as cucumber extract which truly does smooth my skin and also Hawaiian white ginger which hydrates the skin. Another interesting ingredient is algae, which enhances skin smoothness. All these ingredients work to the fullest because whatever it claims has been proven on my skin! Overall, I really love this product! I feel like as if this product is God sent (hihi!) it has worked and keeps working miracles for my skin.
