Murad Pore Rescue Balancing Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 15 PA++ Review

Product Purchased by IMBB

I bought this product thanks to the “sponsored product scheme by IMBB.” For the past two months, I have been noticing large pores on the apples of my cheeks. It worried me a little, so I started looking for good pore minimizing face creams and toners. I had recently reviewed Perricone MD Pore Minimizing Toner, which I found effective at reducing the appearance of enlarged pores. To complement Perricone Pore Minimizing Toner, I bought this face cream by Murad, in a desire to tackle large facial pores better and faster. I have been using some potent skin care products for the past one year; I am following the fad of using BHA and AHA essence in my skin care products because of their anti-aging and skin rejuvenating properties, but they could not work on my pores, and that’s why I decided to diversify and explore a little.

My Experience with Murad Pore Rescue Balancing Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 15 PA++:

I have started to use a lot of chemicals and acids in my skin care routine to maintain the quality of my skin and texture, and also to prevent premature ageing. Most products that I desire are expensive and out of my budget, but this moisturizer by Murad is perfect for this purpose.
This product comes in a 1.7 oz size tube. The tube appears to be of a decent size and has a twist cap to protect the nozzle that dispenses the product. The tube is sturdy and leak-proof and is perfect to throw into my purse or makeup bag without worrying about spillage.

The moisturizer is in the form of a thick, moisturizing lotion, and is the right consistency for a face cream or for skincare routine before makeup. It does not have any significant fragrance. The crème is white in color and has no fragrance. It contains SPF, so it spreads and gets absorbed into the skin like other regular sunscreens and leaves a white cast behind – again the same way most of the sunscreens do. This product has moisture content that is appropriate for day wear, especially underneath the makeup, but not sufficient for very dry skin.

This product claims to deliver lightweight hydration and protection against UVA/UVB rays, it helps control oil and delivers powerful antioxidant protection. It has a long ingredient list, but fortunately, most of them are essential natural extracts or beneficial chemicals. A lot of people in their reviews wrote that it is a fast-working formula, but I advice people to have more realistic expectations from it. After using it for two weeks (I had a sample size to dabble with), I noticed faint tightening of pores and a clarity to my skin. It did not cause acne or any other skin issues.

I had realistic expectations from this product and it did fulfil them. It added moisture to my skin, did not break me out, made my skin soft and supple after 2 weeks of continuous use, reduced my laugh lines and appearance of pores. So, overall, I am a happy consumer and do recommend it to others as well.
