In summers, I tend to breakout way too much and acne scars don’t fade easily on my skin, so I always search for good scar and spot lightening serums or creams. Last year, I came across Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum, read on to know my thoughts on this serum.

My Experience with Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum:

It comes housed in a thick glass bottle with a pump mechanism. The name of the brand and product are printed around the bottle.

I am almost out of this serum and would definitely be repurchasing this again, this is so good. My acne scars never fade away, but this serum is really effective and reduces acne scars like nothing I have ever used before.

They have directed to use this serum all over the face but I apply only on my sun spots and acne scars and within a week, I could see them fading. This serum has a gel-like texture which spreads easily and evenly on the skin.

This serum smells strongly of some chemical, but luckily it fades away after a few minutes of application. If you hope to see results in a day or two, you won’t see any magic. I could see results after a week and with regular use, for about two to three weeks, the acne scars faded completely.

I don’t have age spots, just sun spots and this serum works well in clearing them up; however, if you are sensitive to hydroquinone, I would not advice you to try it out.

This serum is usually the last step on my night-skin care routine. I apply my toner, serum, moisturizer and then I apply this on my spots. It also doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. You also don’t need too much of this, I apply half a pump to cover all my acne scars.
