Casual Non-gold Jewelry for Fun
I surprised myself today by venturing into a new territory for writing about fun jewellery ..something different than my usual lipstick addiction:toothygrin:
I just want to share with you guys some pieces of chunky jhatak jewellery I would wear on a casual top even to grocery shopping at the super market.i do not intend to blind any one of us by the cahmku colors, please take them in your stride as you read on 🙂 I’ll start with my favourites(essentially from most favourite to least favourite)
Pearls with three chains: (price 395)
I picked them up only last week from the newly opened pantaloons close by. I haven’t got a chance to wear this yet and this baby has been lucky to be featured on imbb already. This one is from the brand “urthn” I found at pantaloons.this neck piece was calling out to me and when I ignored it and walked past it dropped itself down in the hope to get attention.I swear.
I requested hubby to supply the cash for finding it a new home and so now its with me:D clever piece of jewellery,I tell you! I am eager to wear this on an evening on a plain black long top or a purple one like the one in the picture. It is a beauty and the pic does not do justice here.i don’t really care about the earring in these as I never wear artificial earrings.
Golden-brassy set of three bangles: (price:395)
I picked these up too from pantaloons from the same brand urthn”.it looks gorgeous when worn all together.however u can also wear the single piece alone for muted look.not got a chance to wear these too.
The pieces of nakli diamond is what I hate in these:yuck:
Silver neckpiece: (price: donno, purchased from pushkar, ajmer)This one I am afraid is genuine silver but has never been worn as a neckpiece.
I always double it and wear it as anklet.i like to wear only one and so I just wear it on my left ankle. I looted this from my sis
Purple cocktail ring:
I love this one to death and the pics don’t do justice her. I looted this too from my di, and promised never to return it back. Just put this on for an evening out and you wont need any other jewellery so to say.
Blue bead bracelet(price 95, Westside)
It looks bright and nice for the monsoons.
Set of two pearl bracelets: (price 175, Westside)
These do look over the top if worn together but I do wear it alone on formals. Looks awesome with a plain white or black formal top.
Goa bought shell bracelets:
Steal at 30 Rs each I saw one of my colleagues wearing this long back. I had to go to goa (don’t remember the beach name) and get these.they have a lot of colors and sizes but these are decent enough for the size makes them wearble on a summer afternoon.Perfect! just one at a time tho please!
Bamboo bangle: (gift from sis in law from bankok price don’t know)
Wooden striped bangle 🙁 price donno got from aussie land gift from sis) this one refuses to fit me anymore. Looks pretty with neutral tops for a day look.
Big blue striped bangle:
(price rs 75 got from chandigarh street market 17 D)
Earrings: (price 5 GB pounds)
I never wear these but these are so pretty to look at.Kind of huge for my ears, very special as hubby gifted me this.(you know what the drill is right)
Square cocktail ring: (donno price, gift from Australia)haven’t worn it yet, mmmm it doesn’t turn out to be that pretty looking in real life(shhhhh…)
The group of bangles I don’t really care about ..the stone and the silver ones were a farewell gift I believe and the plastic one were an impulse buy from street market fc road in pune.the wooden painted ones are from Tibetan market, coorg, Karnataka.
More often than not I forget to accessorize.
And these are dumped in the jewellery box or that basket. I hope u enjoyed reading and the colours just made your evening brighter!
