Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing a little quick makeup tip with you all. Hope you find it helpful. 🙂
Over a period of time I have sort of perfected my concealer application. Alteast for me these steps really work and make my under eyes look just sooo much better. I am showing you the three products. You don’t have to pick the same products and you can totally use the similar products from your stash. 🙂
A peach corrector : If you have dark under eye circles, it is best that you use a peachy shade for your under eyes. That would cut the dark shadows and make your under eyes look so much better. If you directly apply a yellow based concealer, it may look grey. I use the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Dark Peach. But you can try out the NW range from MAC . That has peachy under tones. I use the same shade in NW range (NW 35) as my foundation shade in MAC (NC 35). But it’s best that you give it a try before you pick. 🙂
A lighter shade of liquid concealer : After I have used the peachy corrector, I use a liquid concealer (MAC Select moisture cover) in a lighter shade. I use the shade NC 23, which is quite light. On day to day basis, I would just put this right on the under eye circle and that would diffuse the appearance of the circle underneath the eye. For photographs, I’d do the whole hog of creating an inverted triangle under the eye and blending it out.
A White Translucent Powder : A best under eye setting powder EVER.  It barely gives you coverage, goes on sheer and gives even more diffused and cleaner look to the under eyes. Sometimes compact powders can get cakey underneath the eyes. Give this a shot. It might just change the way you use concealers. 🙂 I use the NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder.  Ben Nye Banana Powder is also very famous for setting the under eye concealer.

I sort of gave up on my dark circles already by now.. nothing cheap can cover this monstrosity.. xD
Aisyah, don’t give up! A corrector can really help with dark circles. I’ve also used Bobbi Brown’s peach corrector and it can help tremendously. Remember to use eye cream first (the BB corrector can tug otherwise especially in cooler months) and follow corrector with a touch of concealer.
All the best!

Great tips rati..what is inverted v tip? Plz explain na?
I use lush dry shampoo powder for setting concealer. Works like charm! Translucent, matte, longwearing, less chemicals and cost effective !
I swear by a peach corrector for adequately covering dark circles.
Thanks for sharing your routine!
Hello people….any suggestions for a budget white translucent powder please?
Elf does a loose translucent powder. Just remember to use a tiny amount to avoid reverse racoon eyes 😀
Thanks for sharing this Rati! I finally bought the BB dark peach corrector and I’m trying my hand at this 3 step process!
