Following are my 6 makeup trends that I am going to follow this summer 2010.

navy blue eyeliner

Navy Blue Eyeliner: TIP- If you apply a blue liner on your lash line, it will make your red eyes look whiter.

Inglot-Lipstick

Pinkish Purple lipstick: Blue based lipsticks make your teeth look whiter while orangey-brown lipsticks make your lips look yellow.

Peach shimmery Blush: TIP: Apply blush high up on your cheek bone. ( I am kinda bored of applying blush on the apple of your cheeks so do this these days. :))

orange nail polishOrange Nail Paints: TIP if you smudge a nail polish while it is drying, put a drop or two of nail paint remover on your nailΒ  and use it to smoothen the surface of your nail paint. Then follow up with a top coat.Β  Colorbar has a deep orange shade.

Bourjois-Eyeshadow-Baroque

Khaki Eyeshadow: TIPA dot of shimmery eyeshadow on the center of your lid makes your eyes stand out. And a dot of shimmery eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eyes will make the close set eyes look far apart.

coral lipsCoral lips: TIP- Sometimes matte and dark shades leave stain your lips. If that happens, rub your lips with an olive oil.

So what makeup trends will your follow this seasons. Share it with me in comments, would love to hear them. πŸ™‚

    1. Corals are gorgoeus and so in this season. The same thing about searching the prefect coral and red goes for me as well. Let’s see where our hunt ends. πŸ™‚

      1. you have to accompany me for some fun at citywalk in may. i know the heat will be killing but once my exams get over i will be going to my nani’s place. will have a few days in between to freak about.

        1. Oh sure, anytime. πŸ™‚ I so want to go with you for shopping. We’ll hunt and bring the stores down. Will introduce to a friend in MAC store. Will help you. πŸ˜‰

  1. I like that nail polish tip coz I smudge them all the time. Always loved coral…the color is just so pretty! I so regret not buying a Rimmel coral lipstick from Malaysia…I took it to the counter n went to put it back :O . I’m get so fickle n it wasn’t even expensive! Grr…till today I keep thinking about it πŸ˜€

    1. I ama queen of smudging nail paints and this tip works for me all the time. Corals are gorgeous. SO want them now. πŸ™‚

He he if you don’t change your avatar, we’ll go mad laughing here. πŸ˜€

  2. Love the lipsticks. I only have one: red (Guerlain)
so could use a sweet pink color.
And I’m looking for a minty nail polish.
I have bought yellow nail polish is that trendy or not?

    1. I love yellow nail paint. Just that I always pair it up with a dark blue nail paint. Yellow alone sometimes make my hands look dirty.

I have a minty nail pinat, it’s so gorgoeus. Do you have OPI or essie there? I think you would be able to find the shades in thies brand.

How is the Guerlain lippy? I mean how gorgoues is the red. πŸ˜›

    1. Smriti, you might have some doubt about the coral lipstick but I think yo would be able to carry all the other colours pretty well. πŸ™‚ No?

Loving the corals and oranges completely. They are my new blacks. πŸ™‚

  3. All lovely trends Rati! I will def try out that orange nail paint and khaki color tip – both sound interesting πŸ™‚

Its so nice to read all you guys being able to carry off coral lipstick. I have this coral color in Lakme’s some 3 in 1 lipstick that comes in a twist tube. It has been lying in my kit since quite a few months. The color just looks horrible on my face. Swatched on the hand it is pretty, pretty..

But it clashes horribly with my eyes and skin tone and makes me look totally washed out. I guess I’ll stick to the purple pink colors πŸ˜€

    1. yes orange paints look vibrant on hands and I guess almost all kind of skin tones would be able to carry it off.

I have coral from lakme aquashine. I look a bit tanned with that colour on but I actually like it. The only reason I don’t wear aquashine much is because it has pathetic staying power. To subtle the colour down I wear it on top of a nude liner. That kind of softens the look.

And no I do not carry off corals very nicely but I want to do that this season. May be I have not found MY coral yet. πŸ™‚

btw I personally think that khaki eye shadows would look really nice on your eyes.

  4. Ohhhh I wanna join u n rima n piya too ;(

Long way to go before I can carry off orange nail paints!!!

Khakhi eyeshadow n purplish pink lipstick…loved it!!

    1. HD, pack your bags and come over. πŸ™‚

I made my friend wear a hot pink nail paint, she has a dusky complextion. She was living with the misconception that such a bright colour would not look good on her wheatish toned hands. The nail paint looked so gorgeous on her hands that she was posing with those bright nails though out the day Do try the orange nail paint , HD . You never know it might look gorgeous on you. πŸ™‚

      1. Ohh i am not sceptical abt orange paints coz of my skin tone but because of the shape n state of my nails….gotta work on that first !!

    1. Ooh just saw this πŸ˜€ and boy, am I glad that I did! Count me in on the citywalk expedition please! I have to shop for make up after exams and before work starts πŸ˜€

  5. Ahhh blue eyeliner looks gorgeous! I’m tempted to try it out. I am lousy at drawing eyeliner but I have started practising over the weekends, playing around with it. My fault for being a computer geek instead of a beauty addict. Time to switch roles now πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Fieran,
