I am so excited about writing this to you guys.
I have had the best time ever past 2 weeks in the US. I visited Atlanta, New York and San Francisco. Atlanta it was all family and shopping. San Francisco was about sightseeing and less shopping but honest to God I have to still visit a more beautiful place ever. It was literally heaven on earth. Maybe there are many such places in India too and I just have to explore. New York was all about fun and digesting the awesome stores. Must have walked like 5 to 6 kms every day or should I say miles.:) A friend of mine joined me for the San Francisco and New York part of the trip. I have lived in the US many many years ago for about 6 to 7 yrs and this was like going memory lane so you will see some fotos of mine in front of apartment complexes and all.
I visited lots and lots of stores. Some that just stand out are Charming Charlies and Black market/White House. Charming Charlies is a sweet accessories stores where you will find accessories of same colors together. Like all the yellows are together, greens etc..the funda being that its easy to walk into the store and find matching stuff easily. Good concept. Black market/White House on the other hand is about Black and white. All the clothes and jewelry are mostly black and white. A little expensive but just worth it. Luckily a friend of mine gifted me a silvery type bracelet from there and I didn’t have to buy anything myself J whew..:). Both these stores are in Atlanta.
In New York visited Central park, Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square and ofcourse all the lovely stores of forever 21, Bare Escentuals, MAC and Sephora. Loved, loved, loved every minute. Wanted to buy everything in sight but managed to control myself becos my husband would have sent me back I think hahahhaha. Btw, MAC was undoubtedly the best purchase – Concealer and foundation. The eye pencils from a shoe store was the next best thing I bought. It’s a double ended thing. 2 different colors at the 2 ends. I bought black/white and electric blue/white. Pretty creamy texture and stays on for a while. Bought lip glosses from ELF – $3.99 for 5 of them. Prettttttty cool I thought. Good as gifts too. I did buy an illuminating foundation. Gives a slight shine to the face and can probably be used as a highlighter.
I bought quite a few tops and lots of bags too..actually very little jewelry. My shopping haul is another mail J

And your post reminded my of my US stay..I’ve visited all these places and SFO is truly the most amazing place I’ve been till date..Riding bicycle on the Golden Gate Bridge is amongst the most blissful moments of my life till date!! 😀 😀 😀 😀
oh wow..that must have been fun. CALI has everything.. 😆 I meant CALIcoaster and CALIfornia. I have a cousin in SFO (good looking chap too) who took us all over the place. on our way to Napa Valley, we stopped on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge and what a beautiful site that was. i am sure riding that bicycle must have been super
ha ha ha…yeah Aruna..I rode the bicycle all over the SFO!! 😀 from morning till evening..I was tired and almost dead by evening..but it was soooooooooo much funnn!!! 😀 😀
Golden Gate bridge pe toh I was almost about to fly..I was riding sooooooo fast..My cycle was running on 4th gear and It was like a freeee run!!! And the wind and the water….Magicalllllllll!!!!!!

that jail!! 😀 We just saww it and the prisoners from the steamer..it does look like Azkaben!! 😛 Just that it is located in the place with most wonderful weather!! 😛 😛
and a lovely 12 mins ferry ride 🙂 i remember the 12 so clearly cos the touristy guide kept telling us..btw Pier 39 was equally fun..and i think I have become a Fuddy duddy becos I enjoyed california more than NY..some years ago i wud have enjoyed NY more..less of a party animal now

btw u must go a holiday. just plan and go..there is always going to be work..for this one everyone said expensive ho jaayega..leave nahin milega blah blah..but u know there is always going to be work (thank god for that else we wudnt have been able to affordable half the stuff) but that break and indulging is equally imp..and abhi jab responsibilities kam hai like in kids and all jaana chaiye..

Plan a trip for sure Rati..but you’d need 7 days or more to totally enjoy the place…we went on a 4 day trip and we actually and really didn’t sleep for even one hour during all the 4 days..It was so so sooooooooo hectic…..I had to take 2 days leave after coming back to recover!! 😐 😐
i am so with u on that..need a vacation from that vacation..so jet lagged..i went there, was jet lagged, got back, now here i am jet lagged..so tired at work too..thank god for IMBB i am awake and happy
he he he..I’ve had all weird experiences of jet lags after travelling so much and having spent waiting time of hours at almost all major airports!! 😛
I used to say mom, all these travels feel like time-travel to me..I might have gone back in time after all these jet lags!!! 😛 😛 he he he

i did atlantic city when i was in NJ but i am sure vegas is the original thing. i had 2 weeks so tried to get the most in..the disappointing one was Yosemite. did some 2 day package thing. we got some chinese group with us incl a chinese driver. No offense meant and i am not racist either but they all just spoke in Chinese and i was irritated as hell. the driver also didnt make any effort. and yosemite cannot be covered in 1 hr..ppl take hrs and sometimes an entire weekend too..these guys gave us about 30 to 40 mins alltogether to take pics..big let down
he he..Atlantic City is the local chotuu Vegas of NY people…It is also fun for sometime…My team mates told me about Yosemite and weren’t too keen to go there so I never went there….
🙂 after Route 1 and carmel by the sea, Yosemite did pale in comparison.

well..oh i just walk for about 30-40 mins 5 days a week on the treadmill..i continue to eat junk cos thats is something i cant resist. (I dont have kids so maybe that kind of helps :))
