I was literally obsessed with Nargis Fakhri’s makeup for Grazia’s October issue.I don’t think she has looked this hot in such a long time. There was an understated elegant sexiness in her pics and that lip color…I did not have anything same in my kit so I created one..the exact one. 😀
The makeup was so classy.A modern take on smokey eye, gorgeous highlighted skin and deep warm burgundy lip shade. What’s not to love. Honestly all the products I have used in this look, you probably already have in your kit. You just have to flip them out and play with them. 😀
The eye makeup was beautiful. It was modern take on a classic smokey eye. No winged liner, just wash of cool brown overall and soft liner drawn with an eyeshadow just to enhance the lashline. A little wing on the very outer corner of the eye to give that little edge.
How to create modern smokey eyes:
Step 1 : Apply soft brown/ peachy eyeshadow in the crease.
Step 2: Apply a light wash of cool toned brown. Using the same brown eyeshadow apply it a little dark just on the outer V on the lid. This would create like a 2 tone color on the lid and would also keep the eye looking light and fresh.
Step 3: Now using a thin brush and black eyeshadow draw a little ‘V’ just on the outer corner of the eye to give a little definition. Also apply the black shadow as an eyeliner on the upper lashline, just to give definition. Almost massage the liner on the roots of the lashes.
Step 4: Apply a bit of same cool brown shadow on lower lash line as well, very lightly just to cpmplete the look.
Step 5: Finish off with mascara.
Face : For cheeks there is a hint of peachy blush and lot of highlight both on the cheeks and nose.
Lips : I mixed a dark brown and a true red lipstick to create the shade. I tried various options, this worked out the best. If you have the exact same shadow in your kit, I would love the recommendations. 🙂

MAC Face and Body Foundation Review ( Price : USD 28/ 2,450 for 50ml ) This is probably the third time I am reviewing this foundation on IMBB but our site pretty much eats up the review every single time. But I never stop buying this foundation. It must be my 4th or 5th bottle. That’s how much I like it. This foundation is available in 15 shades and I am in the shade C4 in this foundation. This is a sheer water based foundation. This can be built up a little but don’t expect any great coverage out of it. You see that ‘model’s glow’ kind of skin on runways, well this foundation can give you that. The finish is quite dewy and gives that illusion of healthy well hydrated skin. I mostly use it in winters and also on top of my regular foundations as a second layer. I would not recommend it for those with oily skin because it gives that ‘glow’ to the skin, which might look shiny /oily. This is also a great foundation for people who have a pretty good skin to start with and don’t need much coverage. Honestly, it looks like nothing on the skin. It has a thin watery texture and pretty much slides on the skin. It dries after a while but that glow stays. Because the foundation dries, it is great for body as well. You can mix a bit of loose shimmer in it and apply it on legs, neck, or décolletage for that extra glow. The packaging sucks. A whole lot of product keeps getting accumulated around the nozzle and if you are travelling with it, it gets even messier. Although the bottle does not spill and the cap closes tightly, still it gets all yucky around the nozzle. The bottle looks tiny, you get 20ml more product than your regular 30 ml standard foundation bottle. Best way to apply this foundation – fingertips. If you are using a brush, use a patting motion or it would look streaky. Does not work well with the sponge. It does not accentuate pores or settle in fine lines or accentuate dry patches. It gives that lovely natural glow to the skin. And in winters, my skin can totally use that. I keep repurchasing it. You’d either love it or hate it. But if you figure it out how to use it, you would never stop using it. 🙂 It is also a very long lasting foundation. i have worn it on hot humid days as well and it looks all day long on me. And I am not a huge touch up person unless it comes to lipstick. Rating : 4.5/5 I have used this foundation in pics above as well. I have also used it HERE, HERE and HERE

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray Review : (Price : USD22 / Rs 1450 approx for a small bottle) If you know me you know how much I love my messy hair and messy bun. I am not a huge fan of perfect hairstyle. Infact if my blow dry looks perfect, I use a texturizing spray to mess it up. texturizing spray basically adds a bit of volume, adds a little texture, a bit of roughness and gives that tousled undone look to the hair. If you have very fine hair and your hair always look flat, you might want to give a texturizing spray a go. I have heard so much about this brand that I had to give it a go. I have been the hugest fan of Oscar Blandi Texturizing Spray. This one turned out to be just okay. I have to use a lot of product to get the result. Some might like because it is not really ‘strong’ enough. But I don’t really like it much. I don’t find it as a great dry shampoo as well. The spray is pretty transparent and does not leave any residue behind. It is formulated without parabens or sodium chloride. It is also Color and keratin treatment safe. It also add that UV protection for hair. All good stuff but it did not wow me.It does not give that amazing lift unless I use a lot of it and the texture does not last long on my hair. May be it can work better for someone with drier hair than mine. For me, it was a bit meh! It smells lovely and fresh though. Rating : 2.8/5
