My Experience with NARS Blush Lovejoy:

This time, I picked Nars blush Lovejoy for experimenting. Nars is a new brand to me, but there is always a first try. Lovejoy is a shimmery bronzed rose shade. The texture is smooth and soft. This shade applies easily, but needs to be blended well.

Lovejoy has warm undertones and is a bit loud for my moderately fair skin. Gives a sheer warm glow to my cheeks or a natural flushed look. The shimmer is subtle and non gritty, gives a mild glow. This shade is nicely pigmented and the intensity is buildable, which is not required in my case. In fact, one swipe is enough on my cheeks, gives a complete sheer blushed effect.

Lasting power is easily eight hours, needs to be removed with a makeup remover. Can be used in winters, to get a glowing look or in summers, to get a blushed look.I use my blush brush to apply this blush over my cheek bones. In my case, this shade cannot be used as a bronzer or contouring on my face skin, shimmery bronzed rose appears very dark and shows more. Even the blush needs to be applied with a light hand.

Does not dry, irritate or cause any breakouts on my sensitive skin. In my opinion, this shade is good for special occasions or for a heavy built up look, not for regular wear. This is in my case, could vary from person to person depending on your skin tone and the look desired by you. I prefer a mild, natural glow on my cheeks, not a heavy built up look.Can be used during daytime and for evening outings. I personally prefer this shade for special occasions and evening outings.
