My Experience with NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation:

This powder foundation comes in a black square compact with an attached mirror on the front. There is a compartment for the sponge and then there’s a separate compartment for the powder, so this packaging keeps the compact very clean. This powder foundation comes in 15 shades. The one that I use is the shade “Vallauris” and it pretty much matches my skin tone perfectly. I have NC 35 skin tone in MAC and “Barcelona” in NARS.

It is a soft matte powder foundation but what I like the most about this product is that it is very lightweight and you can totally work with the coverage that you want. You can use it wet with a sponge and get a fuller coverage. You can also use it as a translucent setting powder just to set your foundation with a brush and then you can also use it with a Beauty Blender to really make it look like a powder foundation and add a bit of coverage.

It’s not a very heavy coverage product as you can see in my hand swatch. I have used it with a brush and it’s almost like a good compact powder that you can carry around and I personally have already switched it up with a lighter brush instead of the sponge because the sponge kind of gives more coverage, but you know for the touch-ups, I like to have a lighter coverage with the brush, but you can use whatever you want.

This powder has SPF 24, but it does not have any flashback or anything. It does not dry out my skin (like most other powders do). I have normal to dry skin anyway. Also, it comes in 15 shades, so there is a shade for everyone. It makes my foundation last really long. I don’t have oily skin but whenever I have used this powder on top of my foundation, my foundation has really stayed in place and my foundation hasn’t broken down or anything.

Even people with normal to oily skin can use it because it has a soft matte finish to it, there is no shine or anything to it. It’s like a good basic powder that you can carry around with you. You can also use it as a heavy-duty product to set your base.

The packaging is like the standard NARS packaging. It is a matte packaging, although it is gorgeous, but it catches every single fingerprint.

I haven’t used any other powder since I started using it and this NARS powder foundation has become my go-to powder these days and I totally enjoy using it.

The only thing is that it is quite expensive, it is 49 dollars, which is around 3100 INR, so you could probably get a Chanel powder in that range and that’s the only downside. Also, it is not available in India.
