NARS Geraldine Audacious Lipstick Review

Hello everyone,

I cannot sing enough praises about the NARS Audacious lipsticks. I currently own 5 shades from this range and all of them have been reviewed here on IMBB. These shades are Brigitte, , Anna, Raquel and Fanny, and Jane.

But looking at them, I felt that there was still something lacking in that collection of mine. I knew what it was the moment I saw this shade. This review will be on NARS Audacious Lipstick in the shade “Geraldine.”

My Experience with NARS Geraldine Audacious Lipstick:

Packaging:  I love the sleek modern packaging of this lipstick. It has magnetic closure and the brand name is etched on the side of the lipstick. It has a traditional slanted edge tip.

Texture/Consistency:  This lipstick is super creamy and smooth and applies like butter without tug. It applies evenly and does not bleed.

Shade:  The shade “Geraldine” is a straight up, “no doubt about it” orange color. This beautiful tangerine shade is a must have for the summer season. It looks so pretty and will complement most skin tones. It brightens up the face and looks absolutely gorgeous with bronzy tan skin.  The color is bold, vibrant yet still very wearable.

Pigmentation:  Full opaque color in one swipe. It does not need any building up for the shade to pop.

Finish, Feel on lips and Staying Power: These lipsticks even though are super creamy, they are not hydrating or too drying.  It feels very comfortable on the lips during the initial couple of hours into wear when the finish has a slightly creamy sheen. It does not look glossy in appearance, but after a couple hours into wear, the finish dries down to a satin/semi matte texture, which is when the lipstick does start to feel a little on the drying side, but still pretty comfortable to wear.

About 6 hours into wear, this is when it does feel very drying on the lips. Even then, it looks clean on the lips without heavily accentuating dry patches or fine lines, but you can definitely feel the lack of moisture on the lips.  But all this can be easily fixed with a slight touchup and another layer of lipstick which takes it back to the initial creamy hydrating feel.

The staying power is very good. It stays vibrant for over 8 hours. With a touchup in between, the wear time could go on even longer, absolutely no complaints here.

Overall, no surprise here again! I absolutely love this range of lipsticks and highly recommend this shade.
