This time, I am reviewing my current favourite lip gloss from NARS. It is unofficially NARS month on IMBB and I wanted to pick something nice and sophisticated looking. I call this my big girl gloss since it will suit more formal attire or when you want to have dinner with his parents. This is like an MLBB gloss for me!

My Take on NARS Lip Gloss in Stolen Kisses:

It is described on the NARS website as a “sparkling caramel pink.” On my lips, it is a lovely muted brownish pink that is quite like MLBB but gives a nice warmth to the face. I fell in love with it as soon as I swatched it in the store and it was on my list since a while now. It’s a little bit of pink and some brown with soft specks of shimmer.  The shimmer or glitter does not even feel on the lips and is only evident when you move your head in the sun and light starts reflecting. It reminds me a lot of melody chocolate – do we still get those?

Packaging wise, it comes in a normal gloss tube with black screw top and a doe-foot applicator.  Thank God, NARS changed the rubber packs because they got dirty so often.  Also, it doesn’t have the chemical smell anymore – which is a boon! The staying power is decent , about 2-ish hours and increases more with a liner or a lipstick underneath. I love the fact that this is a n*de lip color but does not make one look corps-y.

I mostly wear it if I accompany hubby anywhere formal – like his work stuff or when his work friends meet. I will definitely try wearing this with an Indian formal wear too, I have a feeling it will look very demure.

• Very soft.
• Does not feel like you are wearing anything on the lips.
• Doe-foot applicator – no fuss.
• Slightly shimmery, so gives the lips a nice soft, wet look.
• The shade is extremely endearing.

• Cost :ufff:
• A little bit sticky.
• The top is not so secure, I have a feeling it will come loose.
