My Experience with NARS Mexican Rose Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil
Mexican Rose is described as hot pink but in real it is a reddish pink color. I am totally loving using these pencil kind of lip products. They are so easy to use . It looks like a crayon and is easy to carry around. It is a glossy lip pencil cum super pigmented lip balm cum soft lip gloss. Just an overall brilliant formula that would keep your lips hydrated, give a soft shine to the lips and would provide an amazing color pay off to the lips. 🙂 The color goes on sheer when you swatch it but OMG, it is sooo buildable and you can achieve a full opaque finish with this velvet gloss lip pencil. It goes on smoothly. And no matter how many layers of this gloss you apply, it would never look cakey. It softens the look of fine lines on the lips. It does not smudge or smear. It goes on very slightly sticky on lips, which I feel gives it a long staying power. For me once the shine of the lip pencil is gone, it leaves a beautiful bright pink stain behind which pretty much stays until I remove the lip product with a makeup remover. The lip pencil anyway is not overly shiny, so that makes it a great day time wear. It basically makes lips look good. 😀
It does not have any weird taste or smell to it as well.
The color would work pretty much on all skin tones. 🙂
The only con would be that this is a sharp-enable lip pencil and there is a wastage of product.
