Skin Tone: Medium to Dusky
Hope you are all doing great. It is summer here in Australia and it is blowing our head away, it is really too hot. Today, I am going to review a product from another Australian beauty brand Natio and it’s their “Mineral Crystal Loose Foundation.”
$17.95 AUD for 10 gm.
A skin-friendly foundation for a fresh, healthy-looking complexion. The ultra-fine mineral crystals provide a weightless texture that allows the skin to breathe. Gives full coverage. Pure light reflecting mica pigments soften and illuminate the complexion to help conceal fine lines and imperfections.
How To Use:
Using a Kabuki Brush, swirl brush in container and tap off excess powder. Apply to face in downward, circular motions, repeating until desired coverage is achieved.
My Experience with Natio Mineral Crystal Loose Foundation:
I have never used a mineral loose powder before and this is my first buy. I have always liked the brand Natio because they come up with many offers and give a lot of gifts to customers, this is my second purchase from that line. I have always heard good reviews about the brand and was eager to try new products from them. This particular product is not only a loose powder but also it works as a foundation.
The product comes in a small tub and is wrapped in plastic. It is available in four different shades – light, sand, beige and tan and I chose the shade “Tan.” The shade selection is not vast but it is not bad either, most drugstore brands have similar number of shades.
The powder is finely milled and very silky. The powder contains some glowing particles, it almost feels like magic dust and blends like a dream. This powder lives up to its name “crystal foundation” and makes my skin glow and imparts that illuminating effect.
I love the texture of this powder. The brand claims that this is a foundation which offers full coverage, but it is more like a touch-up powder than a base. I need to apply a liquid or cream foundation beneath this powder to achieve full coverage. This powder only offers light coverage and we can build it to a medium level. The product content is very less compared to the price. The tub is small which makes it difficult to use a kabuki brush to pick the powder.
This powder does not conceal fine lines or imperfections. It does not comes with a brush or a blending sponge. It is very comfortable to wear and doesn’t make my skin heavy.
Overall, I like this product as a touch-up powder rather than a foundation. I love the super smooth glow it imparts to the skin. It would have become my favorite product if they had offered more powder for the price that they are charging.
